lastzrt
Last gas heading North on the C trail is at Britt. The Esso at the Key River is CLOSED. We had to double back to Britt to fill up before heading to the bridges and then over to Port Loring last Thursday. The trails were in excellent shape, except for the section from Britt to the Key of course. They are drilling in the swamps and running machinery in and out. J$
We ran from Go Home Lake through C by-pass up to Pointe Au Baril and the trails were great. Pointe au Baril had fuel and food. #401 was most pleasant, and C coming back south to #403 was fast.

lastzrt
No gas at the bridges. Alban has gas, but I would call ahead as I heard the hours may fluctuate. We did not go to Alban. We headed east from the bridges to Port Loring. Both gas stations there close at 6:00pm.
JJL
thanks. we would be going and coming from port loring. need to get gas somewhere. alban would be best if not available at pickerel river. cedar village open at all this winter, even if no gas? whats the gas station in alban? having trouble googling it. thanks for updates. whits-end
Gas in Alban is a skid tank at the bait shop. Right on C trail. Not sure of the name or hours though.
lastzrt
They are grooming now up to the Key and it is staked . Yes, the trail was groomed and the Key was staked. But that short section from Britt to the Key was torn up. They are drilling on the swamp and using the trail for access. My buddy who was leading was run off the trail by an old Bombi. The driver apologized and explained that he had no brakes. wtf? We just laughed because it was the only rough section we rode that day covering 400 kms and had to ride it three times because we had to double back south to Britt for gas to make it to the bridges and then east to Port Loring. lastzrt
No worries, it is a short section. The rest of our trip was near perfect! The bridges are a monument to the will of dedicated volunteers, as was every mile of the great trails we rode last week.
oldslowsledder
Rode Pointe Au Baril to Britt yesterday, trail was brutal to say the least. Lots of snow but the groomers are MIA. Hopefully they will get out before the weekend. On a happier note the trail Pointe au Baril south is very good and Paul is out grooming this afternoon
Bark Biter
Did this run last weekend, but we left from Snug Harbour. Was a beautiful ride and yes gas in Pt. Britt Inn opens at noon, and although the food was good it was pricey.
