-6c this morning here in Winnipeg, we have had at least 6 days the past 2 weeks with below 0c lows :)

This is the earliest I have seen cold like this since I moved here in 08 :D

Anyone else seeing frost?

No frost here. Hope Nova Scotia has something this winter!!! Feels like I'm jumping into the great unknown.

I'm scared :(

Think positive. A friend of mine lived in NS for a few years and complained about the large amount of snow they got since he wasn't a sledder.

Turns out it was -7.1 and a new record low :D

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=Manitoba_sets_new_record_low_temperatures_24_09_2012&eccode=WWCAMB0007&warningdisplay=noec&warningtype=aw?ref=activeweather_city

Although Saturday marked the official start to fall, some residents in Manitoba were hoping for a smoother transition.

Tank tops and flip flops were traded for sweaters and boots as parts of the province hit new record low temperatures Sunday.

Winnipeg saw the thermometer dip to -7.1 degrees, beating a previous record set back in 1879.

"Most places are seeing seasonal daytime highs, it's the mornings that have people dressing in layers," says Monica Vaswani, a meteorologist at The Weather Network. "Cold morning temperatures will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, but conditions will start to warm in the region by Thursday."

Frig.

Record highs this summer and then "record' low in FB's quote above. We seem to be swinging from one extreme to the other. Wonder if LMV can spare some Spam, Klik, crackers and water. B)

I personally can't remember an October being this warm. Had the central air going last week and the ac running in the truck most days as well. Can't believe that I'm in a t shirt most days and it's almost November.
