Lazalong Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 "In 1972 Arctic Cat, which was never bought out by a large multinational company". Great article with one correction. AC was bought out by AMF who were building Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Lazalong Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Have you ever known me to be wrong when it comes to Vintage Snowmobiling? Pretty sure this is correct but cannot remember the time frame. Will look through the thousands of magazines in the basement and try to nail it down.

Lazalong Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Actually I was wrong - not the first time. From what I understand AMF was looking to buy Arctic and ended up with Harley Davidson. HD then bought the company back similar from what I understand to the Arctic deal.
