Jeez all this rain in Muskoka..............I cant imagine Kearney wont close the trails preemptively

Would have thought so as well with the mild temps and all, but for the most part not much rainfall in the Almaguin area so far. Surely not a great looking winter fun forecast tho, haven't even bothered to peel back the stickers on trail passes yet.

Started the day in Orangeville and rode the rail bed up to Owen Sound. A nice 200 k day to kick the season off. Seriously , I couldn't believe how good the conditions were considering where we were at 2 weeks ago! Great day of riding and maybe saw 40 sleds through out the day .. no to busy at all! Nice flat trail and a lot of snow , especially as u get north . Get out and enjoy!

If the wind picks up with this heavy snow, it'll start bringing trees down. Calling for squalls today and tomorrow! Almost time for the honda blower💪

Message me if you want my secret walleye location on Ahmic. I regularly caught walleye there and up to 12 lbs.. My inlaws had a cottage in Amhic Lake and I fished it for 10 years.

    Happy New Year

In the past both Ahmic & Cecebe  were top of the list for Walleye fishing in the province.

Fingers crossed. 45 years and never towed home. Limped home a few times.

Hand warmers are your friend. I justed added three more big bags to my collection. I salmon fish on Georgian Bay in early spring. Many mornings breaking ice to get a line down. my pockets each have "hot paws" every morning. My hands have never been as cold sledding as they get fishing. Every time you get a fish your hands are exposed to the wet. Fighting the fish, getting your hooks out, dipping them in the water to clean off the slime and scales. Fun times.

Never towed off the water either. I'm alittle anal about maintenance.

    Keep knocking on that wood!

I tried cancel route years ago but insurance company said premium was dissolved from Nov 1 to April 30 on sleds. So if I cancelled March break I barely get anything back.

Yes, agree with this 100%, can't work otherwise as would be "TOO GOOD to be TRUE"

    I doubt it.
91 is a v power fuel too that was always e free. They removed stickers and put all grades of fuel may contain up to 10 percent e 🤷🏽‍♂️.  I thought 94 stuff got there by adding e to it? I haven’t found one station near me that has e free fuel anymore. No 94 in my area to test but I am pretty sure it have e now too.  Clean fuel mandate claims all fuels sold must have e in it now.

Riddle me this then, town I live in still sellin Shell 91 e- free and one  Petro Can outlet in Huntsville advertise their premium as e free as well, m

    marina's with fuel likely similar

  8. Went riding locally on  Sat.  joining the "crowds", had to as about 6" came down overnight. Without the cold temps road running was atrocious, even the trails were going for a sh#t quickly, not sure why they bothered changing  the trail status to green for the day as basically what fell was slush.

I realize it may not be conveniently local for everyone in the South, but if you're in the Muskoka area already, have a trailer and are itching to ride, I'd recommend the 1.5h drive to where the A101D and D meet and start from there. Trails were good to excellent in that area. Went east to Mattawa on A, then A112A west toward North Bay then A back down to A101D through Bonfield. 240km of mostly great conditions! Sorry, no pictures unfortunately.

Curious, where did you off load/park?

I haven't been stopped in a few years and when I had been, paperwork they asked to see was ownership and insurance only.

Yep, Lic. &. ins. They could care less about who owns the trail sticker.
