Ski hill is probabily getting emergency funding to make snow and keep some essential staff to do job. I am sure they qualify for latest round of curb payments for buisness.

Ask hcsa. They are very responsive with questions. I am guessing hailburton lake isn’t ready yet, which is holding up that trail. They lost trail access via moose lake because of camp was logging. Now they have to wait on hailburton lake, which takes longer, then eagle and moose. Sucks since old trail was always open in good time.

Won’t be that great. I drove by some of fields yesterday and dirt showing already. Road crossings shoulders are bare too. Good base though so if we can get some more snow on top, it will be good.

Strange they use to go out at about 4pm and groom all night. Trails use to be awesome first thing in morning until early afternoon depending on traffic.

I am not saying dollars are gone now just saying it could happen with short fall of funding. Have no idea what revenues versus expenses are this year. O2, sums it up pretty good. I remember one year money ran dry and northern clubs like dub that have a long season and lots of trail ran out of fuel money. That year a local skidoo dealer from southern Ontario bought club another tank of diesel fuel to keep going.

Yikes. Lots of organizations are facing funding short falls. You are right it will be tough to reverse it, back up to where it was. Is ofsc allowed to run a deficit or once money is gone, season is over?

They never saved manufacturing, Now they are chipping away at our local produced food sources by giving away free access to our protected agriculture markets. We already import more milk, cheese and chicken,eggs etc then most countries in world. Now they gave away even more access. If any of free trading countries were next to USA they would want protection too. us imports zero of above products and only exports surplus at a loss because they get government subsidizes on a regular basis. I am not so optimistic about future at moment, Unless things change and everyone starts buying local produced goods and services. That’s really important going forward. With Amazon we could be a third world country in now time . Concerns me greatly.

Look at real estate and land prices around here. Every family is a millionaire pretty much today. I remember 20 years ago saying if I had a million dollars I be rich. Once interest rates go up things will change.

St clements never started until second week of February or some where around there, last year. My last ride out was that Sunday March 1 and next day it poured rain. If this keeps up I am going to have to find a new winter hobby. Snow predications sometimes 2 days before don’t come true. Longer we sit around these temps less likely we will go get lake effect in northern area’s, since water temps are going down.

Not with ultra low interest rates. Don’t worry they can print stimulus money too.

Forest is usually a great ride once ofsc trails in area are all open. February a good time to go in there and trails are typically smooth with less traffic, compared to ofsc system. Early season riding I avoid place, since everyone flocks there. Once they get more snow and less traffic it is a great ride. Better too once lakes are open for riding. I can go across kennis and into forest that way, where less people ride and avoid north road.

If you drill holes to screw plywood down that is a modification too. Why not just tell them next time you will buy truck out right and sell it yourself. Most times you can get more that way too, especially with way current market is. roller ramps are nice too. Still have to drill holes to mount it but it will save box. Use to be a guy named ramp man on here selling them. Really nice for hauling sled in pickup. East to load and un load too.
