  1. I saw this also, not a petition but maybe some negative press for those making the decisions..... takes 5 seconds to complete https://www.baytoday.ca/polls/has-the-local-health-unit-gone-too-far-in-banning-outdoor-activities-due-to-the-covid-lockdown-19530/vote?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2tdSl1JDtoxlHfLEmdJ3RY2B8L7oQjVtvCLP9ghTBrT4w665IDeyJWj6k
  2. I saw that too, definitely didn’t help the situation, and probably more of a reason to close trails then reports of alleged southerners riding trails. The NBPS health unit is going above and beyond with the trail closures as well as previously closing all the outdoor rinks and toboggan hills.

  4. My condolences to the families as well but completely agree with you PLC, there is no ice to even ride on.
  5. “North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is requiring all Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs’ (OFSC) trails and trails utilizing Crown Land in the health unit district to close Thursday for the duration of the province’s stay-at-home order.” https://www.nugget.ca/news/health-unit-closes-districts-snowmobile-trails

  7. Nice to hear of the additional enforcement this year! And that you guys were behaving
  8. I agree with Nunz, I spent some time at home getting the breath box set up correctly, to the point that it’s sits tight enough to prevent fogging but not to tight that it’s uncomfortable. I never rode without it and I think that the shield would have to be plugged in the majority of time riding without it. I would pull the breath box out after my rides to give it a cleaning as a lot of moisture collects inside of it. Very simple to remove/install.
  9. I don’t wear glasses so I can’t answer that... but there is a groove/cut out in the foam of the helmet for glasses.
  10. CKX Mission for me, great helmet!! Have the electric shield but did not use it once in over 3k km’s of riding last year in all temps. The recall is for the small release strap on the chin strap, original one may stick to the Velcro of the chin curtain, replacement one is rubber. Had a replacement sent to me in October. CKX or Kimpex customer service was very good to deal with.
  11. Awesome!!! My neighbour up there and wife’s friend in Woodland beach sent pics today.... can’t believe how much snow there is. We’ll be up there in a few days and praying for NO rain!! Cheers.... looking forward to a ride with you (social distanced of course) this season!!!
  12. Thanks for sharing Poo man!! Any groomer sightings? How are the fields?
  13. Merry Christmas OCer’s!! All the best in the year to come!
  14. Great site, lots of cameras across the province, and road condition info. I use it often, and it’s available in the App Store also, just downloaded it..... thanks for the heads up Andreyboater!
  15. I’ve been looking at these... good bang for the buck, with the market soo strong serious thoughts of selling my hybrid for one. Only concern is how the black would hold up against stone chips https://actiontrailers.ca/shop/build-a-trailer/snowmobile-motorcycle/drive-in-out/impacts-subzero-all-aluminum-7-wide-drive-in-drive-out-ultimate-sport-trailers/ h
  16. Go snowmobiling Ontario, it’s on there I downloaded it about an hour ago
  17. I clicked on the top left circle with the lines and went to sign in, at that point it asked if I wanted to upgrade the app.
  18. They were stamped USA, only prerequisite I had to was replace with non China made bearings. I think some of their automotive bearings are still made is the US. I bought them on amazon and would have been shipped back same day if I saw China on the side of them.
  19. I have a 2018 Legend hybrid trailer that I bought new in January of 2018. I haven’t had any issues, build quality is very good, better then others priced similarly. Dexter axle, side and nose doors, led lights inside and out. Only thing I changed were the Chinese wheel bearings that I replaced with a set of timkens before last season. That being said my next trailer will be in inline v nose drive in drive off, my buddy bought one last season and I really like it, tows very well.
  20. My ‘19 Cat is the first sled I’ve owned that had a tether. It took a ride or two to get used to, but it’s second nature now, don’t even have to think about it. I will be adding a tether to my other sleds in the fall. Yamaha has a tether kit to add to the viper that’s a pretty easy install. All new sleds should come with a tether as standard equipment imho.
