    Winter 2021

This happened on family day. It's a big year for me. ( Only taken 7 seasons to get there, d'oh) These 900s are amazing on fuel. LoL
  2. I might, but the whole stay in your health unit would have to be listed also. Conditions here in my area of D1 are the worst in many, many years. Railbeds are worn through, not enough snow in the bush, not enough in the ditches to groom between trail entrances, any field that is plowed is bad. Sad. We've had seasons end early, but never take this long to get going. Things are posted yellow, I asked if there is an orange option, LoL.
  3. That would sound about right. I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. Rules for thee, not for me. Turd.
  4. I'll have to check to make sure, but I am fairly certain the Everest here is aluminum. Should take a picture of it beside the brothers 19 Blizzard, but would have to do some rearranging.
  5. Dad's 78/79 Everest 440 has the same decals on it too, but never went "folded windshield fast". 89 MX would though, right around 130 kph. LoL, good times.

Wow, looks good there revrnd. I've forgotten what winter is supposed to look like. Grass still sticking out here in D1. Sled is still in storage, and in no rush to look at it.
  7. I agree with you, just wonder if still will make any sense at the end of the year. IDK. Time will tell. Calabogie for instance apparently spent $300k setting up for covid alone, not to mention any other upgrades.
  8. As I sit here reading this morning, I can see my local skihill is making snow. Do they know something we don't? Would seem like a wasted effort to make snow at this point, seeing Ford is talking about tightening down more come Monday or Tuesday . And I read that there is talk of extension to the lockdown as well. Local hill put in 26 outhouses, had the chalet set up for permit purchase with outside window and food orders I believe. Also no access to inside lockers, put your gear on at your vehicle. There was more as well but I don't remember all of it.
  9. Leaf's fan by chance? Just kidding, I said the same for many years. I said the same at the end of '19, wasn't a good year for me, was glad to see it gone, and thought 2020 couldn't be much worse. Damn, was I wrong.
  10. Same thing here. Two different health units within our club, and we butt up against a third. Grooming/ not grooming will be interesting if it ever snows.
  11. Agreed, it wasn't meant to rid us of the virus, just control it from overwhelming the health care system. This round is the same game plan, so the outcome will be no different I suspect, hopefully we are no worse for it, only better. But I just don't see 28 days getting us back to the numbers needed to relax the lockdown. Good on you for the bike trips, you weren't alone apparently by the number of bikes going by here. I foolishly cancelled my insurance this spring when the first lockdown happened, as I understood it would be considered unnecessary travel. Ended up being too busy to have used it anyway. . Not sure if my glass is half full, or half empty. It's somewhere in the middle though.
  12. My bet is it will be extended. Spring lockdown didn't get rid of it, this one will be no different, as it sounds like the plan is the same. On top of that, the new strain is apparently more easily spread. As long as LCBO and the beer store are essential, I guess I will be fine, or broke.
  13. Nothing but rain in Pakenham area.
  14. It will help keep the chickens and eggs from freezing too. Lol. (Shared this pic from a FB post I had seen on the weekend)
  15. Still waiting on an email from them so I can reset my password. Same thing happened last year. Knew I should have made it" PASSWORD" LoL
  16. Good luck Soup. Maybe wear your water wings out there.
  17. Got lucky, as I was alone, but was able to winch off a small dead cedar tree. It wiggled some but held up. Won't cut it down now. LOL
  18. No feet got wet in the making of this situation. LOL
  19. I only leave up the signs that are on private property in the bush that don't tend to be shot at. Other than those, I take em all down, billboard's too. Here's this morning's little adventure on the A trail. It's been better, LOL.
  20. Self isolating in the shed boiling sap, or on the quad taking down trail signs.
  21. Also, noticed a lone rider on a Blizzard somewhere near Portland. He was taking a break just off the trail in a small pull off area. Thought maybe revrnd was in the area, but didn't look like the coat I had seen in another thread.
  22. Great day on some new to me trails. Mostly old rail lines but the Top E portion between Smith Falls and Harrowsmith is really nice, not just a straight line like the 311 is. Too bad this warm spell will likely screw up that area, wide bare spots on the K+P just north of Harrowsmith. Just over 300k for the day. Thanks to all the club's we passed through today.
  23. No worries revrnd, new one was opened before the old one closed. Whew.
  24. We were there once many years ago. Sunday brunch was on and we didn't mix in real good in our 2 stroke smelling suits and the church crowd. But we did have a guy playing the violin through the room. It was very good food, but just seemed to fancy, for me anyway.
