Thats all it is worth IMO.    G4s are starting to become less desirable now that the G5 has been out for 2 seasons.

From today onwards, you need to buy something based on the machine being another year older as you wont be able to use it until next season anyhow.

2022 Backcountry 850 XRS were selling for $14900 back in Nov .     That 23 is only worth that next fall.

I wouldnt bother tying up the money today unless I was buying something like that for $13K max.

Exactly, why buy now and have your money tied up? I would expect a killer deal if I were to buy right now

There is a 900t on market place for 15500 for a low km 2021,might be flexible on price.Only 850 km

That’s too much for a used sled that’s 4yrs old likely with no warranty. I can get a brand new 24’ right now out in Quebec for $16,499

That's skidoo hard to beat. I just wanted to try a Polaris so was looking at a 650. It last as long as I need it too. I already have a 90 hp four stroke 😆. Don't need two the same and figure 650 be easier for wife to handle then another four stroke. Why no 650 in cards any more. Some nice low mile ones out there now too?

We were originally planning on a 650 Polaris for weight reasons, but that 650 is roughly 508lbs vs the Doo at 528lbs. I don’t think she’ll notice the 20lbs.
The doo is $1k more than the poo, but has a four stroke that should outlast the 650 engine no problem. I don’t see the point in 2 strokes anymore due to having to rebuild them eventually.
I’m not the kind of guy that trades up every 2nd or 3rd year, I like to keep them for a long time.
My viper has 15,000kms on it and doesn’t owe me anything. I’ll likely get another 15km out of it before I get rid of it. I’m hoping for the same experience with another 4 stroke.
I love the viper, but can’t justify spending $22k+++ for the wife.
Honestly, I’d just get the 900 if I knew for certain I wasn’t going to ride it!

  4. I’m a four stroke guy. Cat has nothing but a $30k hyper sled, Polaris didn’t put a turbo on the S4 and 90hp just isn’t enough, Yamaha is exiting the game with a $22k viper, so that leaves skidoo.
looking at a leftover 24MY renegade adrenaline 900 turbo at some point this year. We’ll see what deals pop up.
    $17,800+++ ain’t too bad for a 130hp sled for a 25MY.

I remember paying $14,600+++ for my 2018 viper brand new.
I certainly don’t need a $25-$30k sled, but some people have money to burn and that’s ok too.
I’ve never been a skidoo guy, but I feel they offer the best value for the 130hp 4 stroke class, not to mention all the accessories available.

So does that mean the 200 or so billion being spent of our tax money on climate change is not working.....maybe 400 billion is the magic number where we will see some return on the waste......

Taxed on top of the tax, it only makes sense 🤷🏼‍♂️

Poop for brains is an understatement…

My bud riding in Quebec says it was getting soft today and thin in some corners  ,I think Trudeau is behind this as he wants electric sleds

He’ll definitely be pushing the climate change narrative after this winter

    High powered xcr is rumour.

I was hoping they bring storm name back to compete with last year of srx. either or will work. Probabily save storm for a limited role out of new chassis like skidoo did with Mach z.

9R would be my guess if it’s a high HP trail sled.

im in Huntsville now for some work and it's thin man, cant believe Kearney trails are still yellow ,looks like maybe some rain on fri ,WTF ,going to be in the record books this one ,my bud just started a ride in Quebec says its good

I can’t believe Kearney has been holding on this long. We were in Kearney last year when it was thin and the trails were table top so I’m not surprised.

They always do a pretty good job and staying on top of maintaining the trails clearly helps.

  9. Polaris might put a turbo on the S4. That could be pushed back though given that there’s so many leftovers and new sleds that still haven’t sold yet.

manufacturers need to either reduce prices ALOT, or offer major incentives to get people to spend their money in this current economy…especially after this winter

  10. I think this coming week unfortunately could be the final nail in the coffin. The ground isn’t frozen, and water is flowing in a lot of places. Even if we do get a big storm mid February, I personally think it won’t last or that there wont be enough time to reopen the trails.
I hate to be that guy, but I think this season is done.
These are just my thoughts, and I’ve been wrong many times before but forecast is showing 7 days in a row of above average temperatures with 5 straight days of sun and more rain to follow after that.

Crazy pricing doesn’t even justify the stupidity…. T Cat is $28.4k pre tax before any other charges or add ons.  Over $32k plus out the door.  Insane.  I bought mine in February of 2019, granted it was mid season but with the discounts that year this is almost double what I paid. Fortunately for me the miles are low and all preventative maintenance items have been completed so no need for a new one.   A SxS for $15-20k is looking more and more appealing each day.  Family fun at the cottage that can be used 10-12 months a year.

Ya I saw that too, it’s stupid no doubt.
My wife and I have talked about a SXS, they are definitely worth the money if you have it.
I’m waiting to see what skidoo & Polaris have to offer. Wife wants another sled and we’re leaning towards skidoo. Cat & Yamaha are out of the question though.

Ya long range up to mid Feb does not look promising. I think the new sleds are launching in 2-3 weeks as well (2025s) will be interesting how the weather affects spring check orders.

Cat just released their 25’s and all the pricing. Crazy pricing lol.

  14. Just can’t win this season.

Thankful for the 600kms so far this season, but the forecast is not looking good at all. Hopefully we don’t get too much rain tomorrow & Thursday.

about 6-7 days in a row of above temperatures going into February. Brutal & challenging season for all of us.
