  1. Noise and trespassing are big issues in our area. I volunteer for SSRSC which looks after the trails into North Bay. We have recently lost trails and are at risk of losing more in our club. I wish people understood this. I personally do like the sound of aftermarket exhaust, but I know for damn sure that most landowners don't. I am tired of knocking on doors and putting up more signage in an effort to keep trails open only to read the 'just send it' 'frig'em' attitude that so many entitled people have.
  2. My dad was heavily involved and I helped cut/brush trails with him every weekend in the fall as a kid. I have been brushing/packing/and grooming the same trails for the last 5 years since I moved back home. It's a thankless job, and with all the liabilities associated it is hard to find good people who are willing to take on executive positions (myself included).
  3. Hardly anything in North Bay. A skiff in the last 24 hours.
  4. haha they are muffs technically. But I like that they are rigid and wide open. I don't feel restricted.
  5. I'm with you Nunz. I use the Powermadd X2 when its really cold
  6. We had similar situation in our area last year. Our club spent thousands out of our pocket to bring in excavators.
  7. We are told the same. The insurance being the bigger issue. I'm not sure how PBR get away with it. Or how they get away with ice crossings to be honest. Not that I'm complaining, because they do an awesome job up there.
  8. Byers Equipment, Rickwards, and Seguin Marine are a few I would recommend.
  9. It would be interesting to see the stats on this province wide. I am a volunteer operator and our club is mostly volunteer. Last year we had 1 paid operator.
  10. too risky to plan a trip, book rooms, vacation days etc. when we have had major melt downs over the last few years.
