  1. Same here Merry Christmas to everyone
  2. Towed many a trailer with the 4.8 and still can't believe how much better the 5.3 is. Gosh all you add to the 4.8 is my 600 ace motor and what a difference. There was a thread last year and PLC stated the numbers for towing the inline vs the 2 wide. I did get another 2 wide, maybe I should have got the inline, hey Blake, maybe we got the trailers mixed up that day. Fuel milage dropped 5 liters per 100 km and that's empty.
  3. I am pretty sure there were no chains I know it was used when we had a good solid base and if you did fall off the trail you could get into trouble pretty quick
  4. I was going to ask you Bill what is the status of the Seguin ? I was wondering if there will be issues
  5. No worries and you are correct that it was off topic kinda like now the insurance issues LoL
  6. Just saying those bridges are made here
  7. Yup If something doesn't change the Fat Lady can start to sing It's not the lack of snow that will kill our sport here its this issue. Just another nail in the coffin I bought a new ATV glad it wasn't a sled
  8. Eagle Bridge Kitchener Pre rusted
  9. So what you are saying is we did have insurance 12 months of the year in the past ?
  10. Fergus Elora Belwood ( FEB ) also posted on FB they will have major closures too. Not sure but I am hoping the D9 office has taken this issue to the OFSC to get some help. There may be more clubs and areas that get closed
  11. Thanks Brian I didn't go there yet. Heard about FEB last night Will go there next Just reading Lake Conestoga FB comments and got me thinking All this land ...... GRCA controls......who owns it, sure isn't them, they manage the land on behalf of the municipalities. They shouldn't even be given the LUP to sign It should go right to the Municipalities
  12. Thought I would revisit this thread and add to it that there are problems with Grand River Conservation Authority ( GRCA ) in our area. I have heard it's on Face Book that trails are not going to be allowed on their areas. It's about insurance that needs to be in place all year from what I understand. Sort of the problem this thread is about ? Don't know much else........but.... don't we have an MTO permit..... and doesn't the OFSC have sort of an agreement with the MTO........ and isn't that the government........so what gives ????
  13. Agreed, I have only used the manual crank, heard others have had issues when using the drills or impacts still put some stands under the sled since I need to get under to change the oil Also need to put some 2 x 4 s at the running boards on my sleds to keep them level and the casters are crap, have only the back 2 on so can move lift around with no sled
  14. Well what a good thread as I just came up from the basement for lunch Have been down there in the Snowmobile club "office" all morning tossing out old files not needed. Have a ton of papers from Bridgeport Cub, Golden Triangle, and D5. Started with Bridgeport 1985 as Secretary and now right back at it as Secretary Treasurer. Was Prez for 9 years. GTSA on the board, 2005, and Prez the last three years of it's existence. Yup lots of financials prepared by PLC, you always had everything done right !!! Trail prep, Trail patrol, Grooming on and on .... been alot of fun
  15. ordered Oct 23 and arrived today reg mail service they are a nice colour
  16. WooHoo for sure Happy Canada Day Oh, and by the way Summer doesn't suck LOL
  17. Funny you mentioned that. I was in the Home Depot in Waterloo and talking with the rental guy. There were yellow stickers on the dump trailer there and he had mentioned that it's up to you to be legal and you sign off on that when you rent. He said one guy didn't return with the trailer. He was stopped and he wasn't legal, everything was impounded. Home Depot basically didn't know where their trailer was. They had his credit card so they just kept charging him (if there was any credit left ).
  18. actually this is good news and really no confusion If it's personal use no yellow stickers more $ in our pockets I never thought they would allow this
  19. I agree with SJ Cube van is stickered on its own so obviously the trailer needs sticker since you use a total GVWR Another idea is to use a SUV , Yukon, Suburban. Expedition etc and leave the seats in ( so it's not considered commercial) and everything is exempt from annual safeties. Go figure ............
  20. yes that is true but very very very sadly this combination needs yellow stickers too, 1/2 ton chev 1500 silverado GVWR 7200 lbs plus a single axle hybrid prostar sled trailer with a GVWR 2990 Total is 10190 lbs or 4622 kg, over by 122 kg Sad but the numbers don't lie.
  21. Today I heard from someone that if you're truck has the yellow sticker you MUST have a log book. Apparently it's something new they were saying. I have not heard anything about that yet. Any one else heard this ?
  22. Too funny. Got 2 in the barn. BIL bought them and we were to get them back on the snow But life got in the way.
