  1. The old man still lives there, so I avoid the place like the plague....
  2. That was a little coffee shop with lunches back in the day. I don't ever recall it being open for supper. Maybe UltraFrozen will chime in...
  3. I only knew one Italian that was in the business.... Tony Poloni ... long gone methinks. He had a motel right across from the mall, just West of the Timmies/ McD ... also long gone. Can't think of any other Italian restaurants in KL, mind you I haven't been around there much in many years.
  4. Irrelevant. If the unit is insured, and a club member is doing legitimate club work, on land they have permission to be on, I wouldn't see any problems. To the other point, Kenny was in the groomer doing his thing while a whole bunch of us were going through Risk Management training. Knowing him, he'd pay for his own fuel... anything to get the trails opened sooner...
  5. The Hearst groomer passed through our work parking lot this morning, no drag .... must be just out "test driving it under actual operating conditions" to make sure it works well ... might take them a week or so to get it broken in ....
  6. I like to think of it as me doing my part in enhancing the economy, thank you very much...
  7. The Hornepayne club was holding the course on a weekend just before my son's 12th birthday. They asked if anyone had a preference for which weekend they would have the course, I offered up that the following weekend would be advantageous for us. They kindly waited one more week and my son was a happy camper. If your child is close to the date of the course, I'd suggest contacting the club about a possible change of date.
  8. The Mattice club was out packing around the L155 today, the highway end of it at least....
  9. It usually is. Good eats and reasonable prices.
  10. Sometimes dreams Do come true... don't give up.
  11. It's warmer than +3 in Hearst now ... should start cooling off in the afternoon, ahead of a storm coming in off of Lake Superior. 4-6 inches of snow ... I'll have to push some of this wet heavy stuff away in the back yard if I want any hopes of being able to move it at all, before it freezes up. Tonights' project. Andreyboater, you didn't really think it was going to stay did you ? I'm surprised we still have some left ...
  12. Well IQTURBO, the Dutchman and I are going to miss that place.... badly. It was great while it lasted...
  13. That was a painful descent... for the sled .. LMAO !! Anyone running a 20+ year old sled can be my friend too !!
  14. Beautiful sunny day here too, -19 this morning ... warming to -7. Nice day to play outside.
  15. You're my hero !! I'm hoping to sneak out tomorrow for a rip down some nearby logging roads ...
  16. Gotta wonder... will they ever take the next step....
  17. Environment Canada is saying -25°C for Hearst and area tonight, NOT INCLUDING any wind chill we might have ....
  18. You can keep your 6 figure paychecks. Up here when the snow flies, we're on it. There's no price you could pay me to miss it.
  19. Thank you Luc, it was 100$ on sale at Canadian Tire, regular 160 I think, maybe more. No stupid rain measuring thing, it'd always be full of bird crap and ice anyway. The only thing it doesn't do, that I would like, is to record the coldest temperature and windchill along with the highest wind speed, on the History button. Otherwise I love it. Here's this mornings' reading ....
  20. Pics are on the What did you do today thread...
