Heart of ontario snowmobile club has starting packing
Re:Leaf replied to RotaxMike's topic in Heart of Ontario S. C.
Trail H1 goes to pefferlaw but it’s listed as Red on the ITG. Possible reasons for that are lack of snow, land owner issues with York Region forest/ town of Georgina/ or others. I’m just speculating and I don’t know the real answer as to why it’s listed as Red. -

I also think of sledjunk when I see this groomer. SJ encouraged me and OntarioF7 to become trail patrollers and he was our instructor. He also encouraged me to get my groomer operator license. During groomer operator training SJ taught us how to use spot satellite tracking system. He also spent countless hours maintaining the groomer in the picture. SJ also offered to pick stuff up at Novi, and he brought back the best sled lift ever for me. RIP sledjunk and thanks again for all your help. -

Heart of Ontario groomer was out packing the H9 trail this evening. The area still needs a lot more snow, but it’s great to see the groomer out. Keep an eye on the ITG for the trail to turn from Red to Yellow. Thank you to all the great volunteers at HOO for trying their best to get the trails open. My better half was able to take this picture this evening as the sun was going down. -
It’s a great place to stay and eat. I hope they will be able to survive this difficult time, and continue to be open in the future.

Thank you old sledhead for everything you have done for organized snowmobiling. I’m very sorry to hear that you were treated this way. I hope you will continue to volunteer your services, but I completely understand if you decide to throw in the towel.

Some people park on the side of Paradise Boulevard. I’ll take a look this weekend when I’m up at the farm. When are you planning on riding?

$35g usd or $50g cdn

I totally agree. That’s why I said next time I will spend more money, and buy a better trailer suited for my needs. Ox pointed out that cheap and strong doesn’t exist.
-
I used the trailer for transporting my snowmobiles in the winter and for my business the rest of the year. It got a lot of use and I may have over worked it. I will source a stronger trailer next time, and pay the extra money. I couldn’t afford a Triton at the time so I bought the cheapest one available at the Toronto snowmobile show. I got what I paid for.

You’re correct Ox. I bought a cheap brand new trailer a few years ago, and I didn’t know the difference in build quality. I found out a few years later when the rear top corners of the trailer failed prematurely.

Grooming Anytime Soon?
Re:Leaf replied to bohdiez's topic in Haliburton County Snowmobile Association (HCSA)
And they are always looking for volunteers to help get trails open. -
I agree with signfan, skidoo 900ace would be my first choice.

We are neighbours. Come over next time you’re up at the cottage.

I’m not on the lake front, but I know what you mean. The ice can pile up high towards the end of the season.

We installed a “Ring” security camera at the farm on the weekend. I can now post pictures of the snow amounts for the east side of Lake Simcoe.

Welcome to the forum jd8430 and congratulations on your apex purchase.

Did you ever get the opportunity to ride with Sledjunk? It was never boring 😂
