Black Creek Outfitters - Updates
Our first visit of the season to Black Creek Outfitters on highway 129, 1 hour north of Thessalon today. We cleared trees and brush along the D201F and broke trail from Aubrey Falls Trading Post to just south of the former Johnny's TruckStop. From that point north, local fisherman have cleared the trail right up to Seabrook Lake. We went to Seabrook Lake and back, then stopped in at Black Creek Outfitters for an enjoyable lunch.

Searchmont Updates
For those who may not have not sledded through Searchmont in the past winter or so, the Searchmont Resort has built a very nice dining area and bar, named the Kiln. You may find it handy on your ventures through the region.

Sault Ste. Marie
Used Sled prices in Sault Ste. Marie have not dropped as dramatically as what I'm seeing in the Southern Ontario Marketplace. We've had a taste of winter and sledders have been out since late November.

Another Day....Another Ride
One of my Bush-Crawling buddies messaged me last night. Said he was heading out this morning into the remote highlands north of the Sault with truck and sled in-tow. He's good at sniffing snow locations as he knows the back-country very well. I suspect he will do ok today....I await his report.

Some Algoma Bush Crawling yesterday with the early-season beater sled. Snow is getting thin. The party is over for now!

I was at Canadian Tire Gasbar in the Sault today. The price spread was .22 cents from 87 to 91. The premium has no ethanol at that particular station. The price spread at Shell was 35 cents. Quite a contrast.

Searchmont Today
The rain turned into a downpour. That sled trailer in front of us was looking for snow as well.
