I ride an 850 and all of my buddies run 900Rs. My 850 used slightly less fuel than the 900Rs on our last trip to Quebec.

14 day in Southern Ontario is back up to +7 / +8c by the end of next week. FFS

We got 3" in Mitchell and honestly, its just an annoyance now. We arent going to get enough snow around here to get the trails opened back up this season and having to clean out my driveway is a PITA. I am more concerned with how much Northern Ontario and Quebec get over the next few days.

Mont Laurier - North. Lots of rocks on the trail. Beat the crap out of my studs and carbides.

After replacing a bunch of bent studs and a brand new set of carbides from my week in quebec, I am not in the right frame of mind to ride sh-tty trails any time soon. My Lynx can stay parked if thats all that there is to ride.

Sorry. The STORM is not a high point in Polaris history. Probably the only thing worse would be to call it a Fusion. LOL Xtra Light Turbo would make more sense.

We have had no sand on the roads down here this year. Chances are I will chicken out but I saw a Lambo cruising around Guelph yesterday.

I am seriously thinking of getting my C8 out on Thursday and driving it for a couple of days while it is 9-11c.

PBR announced that they are closing a bit of trail this week and asking people to stay off them. They said that all grooming has stopped until next weekend as well. I am sticking around home for a couple of weeks after putting on 1200kms last week in Quebec but I am crossing my fingers that things will reopen by the middle/end of Feb.

I think the BRP predictions are pretty much spot on. Seeing as their MY25 Dealer Launch is virtual I predict nothing major. Just progression. It will be interesting to see how BRP handles the GPS situation in Ontario now that the OFSC will not share their mapping. When I was at the sled show, I was talking to a nice gal from Garmin and she told me that the new Cat/Garmin gauge will not work in Ontario unless something changes within the OFSC. I was chatting with my dealer last night and he said they are predicting to do about 1/3 of the Spring Breaks that they did this year and BRP is signalling that they are expecting dealers to step up with the same order that they did for MY24.

I was just in Quebec for a week and saw a couple of Catalysts but not as many as I expected. I can tell you one thing, the 600 sure sounds awesome when it’s on the pipe.

I just got back from a week in Quebec and the trails were mostly good they desperately need snow in places as there are a lot rocks poking through on the trail. I just gave my sled a quick once over yesterday and was shocked and disappointed to see that I have about 8-10 bent studs and my carbides have way more wear than I should have after 1200kms of riding. All of this was caused by the lack of snow. With the free weekend just wrapping up today and the extreme traffic that the trails will have seen combined with weeks warm up it might take a couple of weeks to get things back to decent conditions. My wife is going to Whistler next weekend and I am hoping to get for a short run again in Quebec but I will be watching the trail conditions.

There will be a few rich guys ordering MY25 SRXs and just leaving them in the crates for sure.

My Ontario permit is still in the envelope after saying I wasnt buying one this year. My Quebec permit is stuck to the sled. If I have to drive 8-10 hrs to ride any more this season, it will be in Quebec. I think I may put my OFSC permit on Marketplace and see if I can recoup $100 from someone wanting to go to Cochrane or somewhere....

I am sitting back in Mont Laurier after 4 days/1189kms of riding. Day 1 - ML to 100 Lacs. Once you got 20kms out of town the trails were good. From St Anne Du Lac to Meekos was brutal. North from Meekos gradually turned into great conditions. Day 2-100 Lacs to Riviere Mattawin. 80% of the trails were mint. Day 3 - RM to St Michel. 70% were excellent. Day 4- St Michel back north towards Repos and then down to Mekoos and then west towards Rabaska and then back into ML. We got into some drizzle today but the majority of the trails were good to excellent. The trail into ML was worse than on the way out. If I was going there, I would avoid ML and go to an Outfitter north of town to stage out of. By the looks of the long range around ML, next weekend may not be rideable.

I am in St Michel right now. Not tons of snow but they are grooming pretty consistently. We parked the truck in Mont Laurier and the 1st 20kms out of town are terrible. The trail should be closed. Once you get about 20kms outside of town things get a lot better. The further north you go the better the trails for sure.

I am sitting in my room at the Super 8 in Mont Laurier and it is depressing how little snow there is here. I will post a ride report tomorrow night.

Every day for the next 14 above zero in Southern Ontario. Even Cochrane has some above freezing days next. I am going to Quebec next week and Wed-Fri are 2-3c. Crazy season. It’s going to thin the herd of snowmobilers next year for sure.

My buddies kid sent me the pic and I thought it was Friday night. My mistake. We stopped at the same spot on Sunday am and all of us commented about the 5-6 Miller Lite cans laying in the culvert.

I did hear that he had his bag and can stolen. They think they know who stole it.
