  1. Another reason to get things gone - dealing with the stupidity of selling anything on the various online platforms. One of the other good things forums can be great for, the buy and sell section.
  2. People get caught up in the what it is worth to me vs. what it is worth to others/market can bear......the latter of the two will usually see success, the first, not so much...... I was just talking to a friend who is selling a used vehicle, they are stuck on 27K mark for it, dealer offered 23K when they bought their new one......stupid thing is they would have saved almost 3K in taxes on the trade in......lol.

Very nice. Reminds me of taking my kids when they were three, surprising how well they do at that age. Under three is pretty impressive though! I could not last on the bunny hills all day, so I asked the staff if I could take them up the lifts to bigger hills, susprised that I could, so off we went and did not have return to bunny hill until they were 6 and had to earn their stripe to move on.

Tire rotation is key to any tire, especially a tire that has an aggressive or semi-aggressive tread pattern. On my second set of Duratrac tires, first set had 100k. I’ve had good luck with them so far.
  5. Same here, never been an issue with mine - metal solid wheels/casters, all works, etc.....

Studs is what is needed. just drive in QC in a bad weather day and see those crazy buggers fly by you or pass on roads that are ice…lol Then pass the ones flipped over or in the ditch a few km up the road that assume don’t have studs.

Great day for a round of golf!
  9. Lots of life left in the 800 then. perhaps your sons next ride and you get back on a POO, when we get winters again and time permits.
  10. Or a collectors item !!
  11. What sort of miles do you have on that retro?
  12. Kudos to you, that’s great to be able to say that, I personally won’t spend much time or effort searching for deals, I’ll look of course when I’m ready to buy, then make a decision and pull trigger….i don’t think I have the patience to look and hold out for something I’m ready to buy.
  13. Buy for the now enjoyment, not the future......its a toy to have fun, not an investment. Assume loses, if you cannot stomach that, move on.
  14. oh my.....has to be pre-tax. Just insane
  15. It is early March and blasts of winter may still come in the north, but how much water will be flowing..... Close to preserve in hopes things can be salvaged. This was from the Polar Bears Club: We are going to be closing all of our trails today at 5pm due to the current warm weather with rain predicted overnight. Please note, we are not throwing in the cards for the season. We are ready to do what we can to reopen our trail network whenever/if winter decides to return! - Jesse
  16. Yep, and for that other reason, the sport is slowly dieing from a rider to a volunteer standpoint. Agreed, stupid money spent, that makes non-current left over that much more appealing vs. latest MY sled if you are so inclined to buy....but you are still taking a hit on selling your old sled for the "new one", if you sell that is. There will always be a cost for having fun, each person has a different threshold for that given their life situation, stupid part of spending the money is not being able to enjoy it......I think most in the sport today will be okay spending the $$, if it can be enjoyed - that was a big hurtle this year no doubt, which as you say, leads to considering other options instead to spend your money on. 2025 season will be better for riding option, it has to be! Maybe not for sled manufactures/dealers though.....
  17. It seems like a record that has been played the last little while over and over, but with this year under our belt, that affected ON and even QC a fair amount, might be a major change in the tides for sure. The sport I beleive is still mostly made up of folks between 45 and 65, and for most in that bracket, financial freedoms are looking pretty good......but how dedicated will this group continue to be with winters likes this.
  18. Funny how perspective does weird things.... Similar thoughts here, but now, not so much.
  19. Ya, sledding crowd is older around here, and really overall in general. What ya ride I don’t think is a factor most think of when riding, other than perhaps a sled not looked after causing potential break down, but even new sleds leave you stranded. Same as pace, a slower reasonable rider is not that far behind when you stop at intersections to wait for all to catch up, plus is it really about the race to get to your destination or about the ride it takes to get there, at whatever pace and enjoying that. It seems things change more so due to weather, conditions or peoples life that changes, that cause a change in plans. Personality conflicts might be a bigger factor for some.
  20. Tisk, tisk…..that ramsomair clearly doesn’t play well in the sand box….lol

Feeling pretty good all things considering with my 1800’ish km this year!
  22. dito - I would run it on a stand until it reaches normal operating temp, spin the track up as well. Replace the gas with fresh while you are at it, needs to be done anyways and avoids running bad gas through it. I normally start my sleds every so often anyways and let them run for a bit on a stand, even in a normal year......2 or 4 stroke.

There are rumblings of poeple lobbying BRP to extend this based on the lack of riding this year - can't see it going anywhere. Flip side, what about those that put on stupid or similar miles per year with the same warranty extension for them.

LOL on the ON permit holders and "credit".....these just might be folks exiting the sport. Did not get 1KM in ON this year - oh well.

Just think of all the money saved this year...... From gasoline, wear and tear on sled/truck, lodgings to heating your home.
