Why not just stay on the trail. Avoid any issues with traffic and sleds. The trail is there and groomed to use. Been trying for years to keep trails off roads.... Your choice.. I think it's a real dumb one. But you have at it..

I think that trail was there 2 years ago to bypass logging. Just not on the map before..
