I intend to not shovel a flake of snow this winter. So far so good. And boy am I glad we decided against doing a rink this year - best decision I've made in a long time.

I just hope it turns around for those that rely on the weather related income to earn a living and provide places for us to be able to use. I will survive without some snow - it's just time for me - but for some, it's their livelihood and that is what really is too bad.

My dad grew up skating on the Thames River, for weeks on end, you’d be lucky to get a day on it at all now. things have changed, but none of us were around in the 17 and 18 hundreds and anything from those times are just “stories” anyways, so nobody really “knows”

It’s best when the lake is warm and the air is not, it’s not frozen, but it’s not warm now either, had too much time to naturally cool down.

No, but we did not get a tonne after that either, if that major storm just around Christmas had not happened it would have been a tough go.
