    That's a fan sled I assume?
All these liquid cooled high powered sleds, sure eat allot of our snow to keep cool 😆.  Maybe electric is answer to snow longevity 🙃

I bought a 600 efi Expedition this year, lower hp 2 stroke and ran it through marginal snow conditions where any of our Etec's would have been heating up but was pleasantly surprised, no issues. Was a great replacement for our 550 fan GTX. Lots of grunt, smoother and much better on fuel than the old fanner

  2. First time in 5 years the sales rep from dealer contacted me, guess they're scrounging for orders this year.

For fun priced a 850 Turbo with Smart Shocks, $28,500 MSRP.....yeah, not going to happen, especially with trade in/used values so low

Ad reads: 2K cash is king!, No trades          response: Would you take an e-bike and a pocket knife?       WTF

Oh my god yes, stupidity rules. I was offered engine parts, a couple trailer's, a lawn tractor that needs work, some sort of jet-boat, and the kicker.... How much just for the engine, carb and wiring?????????

Great advertisement. Honest, and to the point. Reminds me of a poster I saw in a West Virginia watering hole (the bar was basically condemned, highway going thru it in a month. Older lady, Verna, ran it - could have been Granny from Beverly Hillbillies. A great  stop, true Americana.

Some good, some bad, 'is what it is'

    Good luck with the sale

Thanks, don't sell much stuff and now I know why. Posted it on Marketplace and local Buy and Sell. After several days of responding to 'Is this Available?', answering the same stupid questions that are clearly covered in the ad, receiving messages at midnight and 4:30 am I have pulled the ads. This about sums it up

I've had this for over 10 years, used as a yard sled and running around a bit on the ice.

The bad.......mice enjoyed the seat, tree fell on a perfect hood cracking it and windshield (still shuts

fine) and the lower steering pivot was repaired years ago but still functions fine. The fuel tank if filled

will drip where the shut off switch is, possibly just reseal threads but I never bothered.

The good........like the Energizer Bunny it just keeps on firing up, drives and stops. Electric start will work

with a battery and key switch (or install push button). Headlight, tail light and speedo all functioning.

Handwarmers work better with a battery installed. Has a used spare belt

Did a compression test by myself with hand held gauge, seems to be decent. It's a 440 fan Cooled

single carb Suzuki, believe the mileage to be original and accurate.

I think $500 is fair for a running, driving beater sled.

I'm hiring right now. Ran a posting on Indeed. Got 50 responses. Sent requests for interviews to 20 candidates. Got 4 who agreed to an interview. The first was Tyler who never showed for his scheduled time. When messaged he said he had to help his grandfather, he'd get back when he had more time.

I have interviews set up with Ali, Ravinder and Aziz tomorrow. I bet they all show and are excited to get the job.

Sad but true. Son has  rental cabins and a local business has rented them to house East Indians who are willing to

come up here and work. For the record these are nice, friendly people who work hard and appreciate the

    opportunity.

I have zero interest in going back to 2-strokes. Don't want the oil or the worry when miles stack up. Hoping to ride this next sled more than the Cat.

I can understand this. There's an underlying concern with a 2 stroke, you just never know. Never really thought about it

until I bought the Mach, just gas and go. I think if Polaris sticks a small turbo on their S4 they will have a real winner, I would check it out for sure. Just have to keep the prices reasonable  🤞

The Doo 900 is a nice sled and a very comfortable ride with lots of options and accessories, don’t think you’ll be disappointed other than maybe a lack of power that the Yamicat has.
Next year is looking promising too!!

I had some issues with the Mach Z last year but the dealer upgrades straightened them out, can't even imagine what a Yamacat would be like for power. Let the son

give it a run to see what it would do, this is what 'Dreamometer' says

    Well that’s awesome

Well as it turns out........No.  Groomer is fine but apparently the hydraulics on the brand new drag leak, and there is an issue with

male to female connections. By the time they got it unloaded off the flatbed there was oil everywhere. Operator says it is

unusable in it's current condition. He is frustrated beyond belief

Is that your groomer or a replacement sent to help you out?

That's our new to us groomer, we never got a replacement. Carling Trail Blazers were kind enough to come up and groom when they could

  11. Awesome pics!!!

Haven't been up to Sudbury in several years but really enjoyed the trails. There use to be a small restaurant in

River Valley that had great food, wonder if it survived Covid shut downs? The trail to get there from Sudbury was

like a highway following the river

I could use a pair for working outside. How long do batteries usually last?

in your case most likely some corrosion some where from going into cold and coming back inside. Wierd both stopped at same time.

Son bought me these for Christmas, great for working outside. I use them when running around on utility sled as it's not usually going long enough for hand warmers to heat up. Batteries last 3 hours and quality seems to be decent.

I’m in Nobel and have trailered most of this season. Why hasn’t the club asked the OFSC for a loaner from a southern club?

According to the main Groomer operator he has done everything he can to get a groomer here. They finally sent a loaner about a month ago, 3 hours later it got stuck and spit a track. He was promised another which was re-directed somewhere else. Last Thursday received a call from transport driver picking up Groomer at repair facility in Sudbury, said he'd be down in 2 hours.

Two hours later driver called to tell him when they tried to load it only one side of the drive was working, so no go.

Thankfully Carling Club has helped as best as they can. Really feel sorry for the businesses taking a hit, Loggers Station house in Ardbeg and even the Shell in Pointe Au Baril as a few examples.

Trails are Red on ITG but lots of people riding them anyways
