  1. I too have not really been on my sled since moving to NS back in Aug 2017. Other than around the house and the odd forest access road near where I lived here for the first 4 years thats it. I just replaced all the skid bearings in my sled and new driveshaft bearing. What for LOL. I dunno yet. I have a couple work buddies that sled in the highlands and it looks awesome. Perhaps one day I will get brave enough to try it myself.
  2. Pic taken of said bridge back in march 2017.
  3. I think Morning Mist at times takes one nighter, perhaps during the week, as Ive been there before and there were over nighters in and leaving the next day. Suggest if it is a place of interest to call and speak with them directly, very friendly and helpful family. I have also stayed years back at the Quality Inn here in Petawawa. Not recently as we now live almost in their parking lot, but with the Kelseys and gas availability right there, you can't go wrong. Always like the Bear's Den as well, good food and excellent trail access.
  4. The one time we did the Rap, back in approximately 2000, we tried to get into a place near Sand Lake if Im not mistaken. They had a two night minimum stay. It was a wet snowy day, soaked to the bone type of day. We tried to talk them into bending the rules in spite of the weather but nope. There was another place, I remember crossing a little bay, and we ended up staying there in a motel type building. There was a restaurant on site as well. We were the only sledders there, and I don't remember the name of the place as it was long ago now, but point to my post was some places have a two night minimum stay, which for the Rap tour, isn't normally what sledders are looking for.
  5. Nice cottages at Morning Mist. Have stayed there numerous times over the years. Satelite Tv, in floor heating, 2 & 3 bedroom cottages all equiped. Fire pit and supplied wood , i could go on, great folks (owners) as well. They may provide provisions based on your travel and a heads up but Im not sure myself. Also have stayed at Pine Valley and enjoyed it as well.
