  1. There may or may not have been some kind of deal cut to get the Lake Conestoga trails opened again. JMHO
  2. Crazy when we know we really have to be buy little or no foreign oil.
  3. Can you please supply a link to the petition so that we can support it? TIA
  4. I sure hope you are right V2! We'll only be 2-3 weeks after you then.
  5. Been into New Brunswick a couple of times Nick but only as far south as St. Leonard on the west side (going into Maine) and Bathurst on the east side.
  6. Very doutful about that. By selling in order and not jumping around, they can easily tell how many are sold and in what time frame plus they started at 2000 about 3-4 years ago.
  7. Possibly, but then how did they number (if they do) the day permits last year when early full year permits stated at number 1?
  8. Carfax.ca will do lien searches for you includes 10 province checks.
  9. You can sign up for notifications to be sent to you via emil I believe. There has been some advertising about the notification system by Service Ontario I believe. I signed up last year and got the notification earlier in the fall. There was also a link included to order your valtags online and have them mailed to you. It worked very well for me with no need for a trip to the service Ontario office.
  10. The OFSC is obviously aware of the weather issues in District 5 as well as other Districts. District 5 is I believe one of the top 3-4 Districts for permit sales in the OFSC so it would be a hard decision for the OFSC to shut it down and risk loosing a lot of permit sales. There will likely not be many new groomers allocated to District 5 if the short seasons continue as should be the case. I believe as long as there is a good volunteer base to do the hard work, District 5 will continue to do the best it can for snowmobiling in our area. JMHO
  11. Too bad, its one of a handful of very scenic trails in Gaspe and one of our favorites. Very bad news for La Cache where a huge investment has been made on improvements over the last few years and also for the Hotel Copper in Murdockville.
  12. I'll go with some of the trails north of the A trail in the longlac area.
  13. Top A is the trail that goes past Stonecliffe to the A112A which goes to Mattawa.
  14. It is on the east side of Hwy 11 where the A102Q crossed 11 onto Sand Dam Road. There is a wide area on the side of Sand Dam Road (not a parking lot persay) that always seems to be cleaned off for parking when we went by. No check in, payment or security in the past to my knowledge. All that said, I just noticed on the ITG that it shows A102Q now crossing hwy 11 about 250 metres south of the 11 & Sand Dam road intersection for some reason.
  15. I don't remember them starting at that high a number the last few years. I do think you are correct about making it look good.
  16. Not quite that simple Stoney. Without going out to check my sled, I'm pretty certain they started numbering at 1 last year. This year they started numbering at 5001. You need to subtract 5000 from this years permit number to get a true idea of how many were sold.
  17. Got my email saying my 2nd permit was shipped yesterday. I went in and checked the permit number. They started at # 5,000 and mine processed earlier this week was 36,220 so (assuming they are processed in order of purchase) they had sold 31,200 early permits by October 27th with the last 4 days of early sales still to be counted.
  18. You obviously haven't read or heard about all the Doo failures attributed to the fuel sock.
  19. + enforce the sh_t out of it while still providing an awesome product.
  20. I seriously thought about just getting day permits for our second sled BUT you have to buy 2 days minimum so if we use it on 2 different weekends it would cost about the same as the permit so the second seasonal is ordered.
  21. From Syngenta Canada: Record Large Winter Wheat Area for Ontario Market newsDecember 08, 2022 Ontario producers have seeded a record-large area to winter wheat for harvest in 2023. Statistics Canada’s crop production report last week pegged Ontario winter wheat seeded area at 1.344 million acres, up more than 400,000 acres or 44.5% from the 930,300 acres planted in the autumn of 2021. If accurate, it would top the previous high of 1.275 million acres that were planted in the fall of 2007 for harvest in 2008.
  22. If that's the case everyone insured by TD should annually call in a good reduction for the value of their sled(s). I have always done that but have always been realistic on the value.
  23. The article went on to say that.
