  1. Well I had to make a change of plans last night. I was speaking with my dealer and he told me not to expect my 22 600XRS until late Jan and offered to give me my deposit back. In further conversation, I asked if anyone has bailed on their Spring Break deals and he said that a guy had just walked on his 22 MXZ850 with 1.5 and fancy gauge. Good thing is that the sled was in stock and complete. Bad thing is that is ends up being almost $3K more than the 600 I had ordered because of the gauge and track (and motor obviously). I told him to set it aside for me as I cant take the chance of not even getting my machine until the 1st week of Feb.

  2. Haha. Truth is that my dad bought so much stuff for me inc sleds, trucks, dirt bikes etc... when I was growing up that this is just a chance to repay him. It also works out in the wash as has a really nice 23ft bowrider at his cottage that he just leaves there for me to use.

  3. North of Sault Ste. Marie is looking good. Great for local riders, but not so much for those that need to trailer and spend dollars on fuel and accommodations. Riding is currently limited to bush trails / roads at higher elevations. I was out yesterday and will likely get out again tomorrow.

  5. I have only been asked for the receipt once and that was in Quebec. I was the only person who was asked for their receipt of all the guys in my group and the cop told me that everyone else had their permits stuck to their hoods and I had mine on the glove box lid. He said that he has caught lots of Ontario guys who just take their glove box lid off and lend it to a buddy while they are in Quebec and he now checks every sled that has the permit place there.

  6. Hi Everyone, It's Official! Welcome to the 2021/22 Winter Season in Sault Ste. Marie. I was north of the city today in the mountains. Riding was good with 10" of snow. Like clockwork, the 3rd week of November is always mountain riding time north of city and is a tradition I enjoy year-after-year. A temporary warm-up is forecasted, however, cooler temperatures to follow. Dan-Senior Sault Ste. Marie

  7. Sault Ste. Marie Blizzard Report For my out-of-town friends, I want to keep you in the loop. We are in the middle of a full 24 hour storm here in Sault Ste. Marie and when all said and done by tonight, there should be at 20cms (8" on the ground). (Photo attached) I'm heading out tomorrow with the sled. It should be a good day of riding the mountains. If all goes well, I'll report positive news back to the group.
