It may very well be that what passes for good quality and excellence is different in other countries than what is expected here. In the case of the Pinewood in Barry's Bay, the previous owners were always upgrading and making improvement to the facility including some not usually noticed by patrons - better ventilation, hard wood floors, better mattresses etc. and promoted a sense of concern for the environment. I hope they received a good return on their initial investment and hard work. Thanks Grover for the mention of the Mountain View by Wilno - had no reason to try it out before but reviews are good and it is right on the trail.
