  2. Exactly. And yes, for the Cat guys, I am rooting for them also. And a real Yamaha sled for the Yamaha guys..

  3. Dorset area is excellent 65, 66 67 d101. PS and baysville is pretty good too. Road runs are terrible. I'm running an ice ripper, no scratchers, and haven't had a overheat issue yet this week. Drop at Raven Lake to avoid road runs in both directions.

  6. Put on 360kms yesterday. Saw a total of 6 sleds. It was a little crispy in the morning but the sun came out and loosened things up. Any road running was terrible and most tight bush sections were no different. Trails though fields and wider bush sections were excellent! Did I mention I love mid-week riding? Started in fergus from home (which will be the last time) and headed straight up to markdale. Then came back down through Durham, Palmerston etc.

  7. Great day out there today. Only 261kms but we decided to start around 10am in hopes the trails would have seen some traffic and be a bit loose. Left teviotdale at 10am, went up through walkerton, chesley and then across to markdale. Walkerton & chesley were on the thin side in places and very hard. Scratchers down. Had lunch at Tim’s. Then took the B111 down through mount forest and back to the truck. Markdale back to the truck was incredible! Trails were near perfect and were just starting to drift in with the high winds. It was a very good day! 3588kms for the season. I decided not to ride on the weekends this season except for one Saturday and it was a rougher ride forsure. Midweek riding I’ve decided will be the only time to ride from now on. No more weekends for me. If that was it for the season, I’m pretty happy and can’t complain one bit. Best season I think I’ve ever had. Only trailered 4x, the rest of the time I was able to leave from home. Great season, great job by all clubs, volunteers and landowners! Time to decide on a snow check! sled was still filthy from Wednesday’s ride.

  8. I really can't believe the trails are still open I am just a bit south and see our trails but just great to see the pics and the posts the road running just Arg. The ditches were really filled and groomed so thanks to the groomer operaters. It really is about the cold weather I really should have gone for another ride in D9. But I have no scratchers. YET. Good for you all to keep riding

  9. Agree 100% on that, Yamaha fell asleep years ago and by the 2022 cat release it seems like they also fell asleep.. it’s kinda sad as some competition is good for all manufacturers..

  11. They all have issues, just a matter of taking turn who is next and how big the issue is. Perfect world all manufacturers are running on all eight cylinders, good for the consumer (us). Hoping all changes are good and Cat comes with something really good for 2023..... or perhaps an early 2022 release.

  12. I've been using them since 2007. I never bent anything on my original weelz but have on the Gen 3. I've never had them flip down when driving but I have forgotten to release them a couple of times. You know when that happens pretty quickly LOL. The wheel arm on my gen 3's has bent a bit(aluminum) so the rubber part of the wheel rubs against the stop that's on the ski bolt. It hasn't hurt or worn the wheel so I have just left it alone. I've never done it but I think I had read somewhere about being able to adjust the spring tension. I have run a fair distance on asphalt a couple of times but even on the smooth surface I try to keep the speed to 20-30 km.

  13. Have to have a look, but I think we can flip the top to the bottom, still using the grub screw on the same flat, but gaining more tip surface to use up

  18. Because it is an overpriced accessory that people are buying...... Should be interesting, but doubtful anything really new. The 2-stroke motors are rock solid for sure.....just need to up the power so they can dominate the other two 850's.....

  19. I was absolutely wrong. In the past I understood the "Adventure" model to be a 2-up only and I was thinking of the Titan. I see the "Adventure" in the name of many different sleds now in the Polaris Lineup which I am more impressed with then ever before, but as I turn so many miles in "normal" seasons I was looking for a new 4-stroke Turbo motor also. The 750cc turbo twin of years past seemed to have good power and perhaps a version of that type of motor or as triples seem to be all the rage now? I seem to be drawn to the Matryx front ends with the 146"x1.5" pre-stud lugs. BTW, why has SkiDoo not started using LED lights yet? Waiting to see what Cat has, but ready to see only colors and more auto shock change stuff. No new motors expected, but needed as those 2-strokes seem to last a long time. I have two CTec-2 800's with 17K and 8K miles still running like new with no motor work except cleaning exhaust valves.

  20. )(Fill in the blank) cold today -20* & warmed up to a balmy -18*. Rode out of Kap on L139 & L141. East to Moonbeam & a top up. Introduced @irREVerent to the Moonbeam loops on L129. Back across the highway & did the Nursery Loop (L119) before returning to Kap via L123 & L143. Some drifting by the fields south of Kap but not terrible. L141 north of the highway was probably the worst 157 klicks for the day
