  2. I wonder how the county will react when the other users start calling about overgrown trails, downed trees, deep snow and drifts essentially making the trail unusable.

  3. I had one of those SS Elans. It was the twin with the twin carbs. Didn't let the dealer swap it back to single carb when they decided to do that.

  5. Yes it was green on the weekend and then back to red again until today, then open again. Fuel is not full time right now, so checking ahead is essential.

  6. Yes all that snow in NYC is going to waste when the dump it in the ocean A different angle @Turbo Doo It will be interesting to see what the responses are LOL Maybe those of us on Faceplant can post a sledding pic a day when we go riding? That should drive the couch potatoes that watch the weather thru their living room windows up the wall. The thought of people having fun out in the cold and snow...in Canada.

  7. Walkerton ,Teeswater, Wingham ,only brown in a few tight bush trails and the odd corner today. Never saw another rider till early afternoon. Was on a solo information gathering exercise .

  8. I was up that way today and, honestly, I'd say the trails are better below Brussels. There was a ton of riders in the Brussels to Blyth sections. There were fields that were brown from start to finish.

  9. | I remember a trip to Prince Edward County back in 2013.....cross country skiiers, horse people, dog walkers, etc. woke up to this \/ one Saturday morning on the MilleniumTrail.... | and were sure happy when this \/ occurred ..... Hope the club can get things sorted out eventually. I think Barbech was there that weekend....

  10. Rode from Ptbo to Hastings this afternoon. A few other sledders out as well. Hopefully they get more than forecast as the trail needs it. Quite a few thin spots. No cooling issues thankfully as gauge stayed @ 4 bars same as on optimum trails. Pics to follow.

  19. Yes it is permanent.Thank CP rail for that. However we have a trail off of C that will be ready next year that is much closer to C105d. Then the whole thing will change again when the 4 lane expansion comes across the Key river.

  20. We might have passed you at some point. We left from St Clements Clubhouse, through Linwood Listowel to Teviotdale to Fordwich and fueled up in Teeswater. Out to Lucknow, felt like the snow got thinner, definitely less grooming. Down through Blyth, Brussels. Heavy traffic for a Wednesday. Once we got close to Monkton, the trails got better. Flatter and firmer. Doesn't matter much where you go, the bush trails are thin. We just haven't been getting the snowfalls. The fields are good due to the drifting and grooming.

  21. People are buying virtually anything that hits the market. Clean sleds sell fast regardless of the size. The sled got ridden again today so I'm probably going to gamble on a fall sale. With everyone riding in the south right now and it looks like the season will go at least a couple more weeks, I think sales will still be good. I don't believe you can get a 900 in a 129, at least from what I've seen on Skidoo.com. I'm not buying another 2 stroke. I'm looking at the Grand Sport instead of the LTD. I'd swap the seat to a single electric and store the 2up. NO storage comes with the Sport. You have to buy a trunk if you want one. The need for the Air ride on the LTD is questionably. She would set it to the softest setting and never change it. I think the cheap Motion Controls will be fine. The only thing the LTD or Sport are missing is an Ice Ripper. You can get all these options (electric seat, Air Ride, Ice Ripper, and a small trunk) on an Enduro. Its $2000 more but it may be worth it. I'd be paying $639 for the seat and $400 in studs at least. Only a $1000 more gets me the Air Ride, better from shocks and some trunk space.

  26. Sorry for the late response Tricky. The main trailsnorth of Mitchell are OK as of yesterday but very thin. Further west they got a lot more snow so as Eric said if you can ride in the Blyth Brussels and north of there you should be in good shape.

  27. North of Stratford is ok. No area’s like this. I think turbo is referring to trails that are now red on map. Yellow ones are ok. Have a good ride and report back.
