  1. This was Wasaga on Friday an hour or two after they went yellow. I'm sure they were trashed by the end of the weekend with the thin snow and high temps.

  3. I agree with you actually with the subsidizing, but not the rest. You don't have to spend thousands a week, to snowmobile.

  4. Do they use it for fishing/trapping? Saying trail riding is only for the wealthy but owning a sled is not is kind of silly.

  5. Very good point, but quality has nothing to do with me avoiding Chinese goods......... 2 Canadians in solitary confinement for 1 year now in retaliation to a high level Chinese exec suffering house arrest in Vancouver. My only recourse to protest this is to not buy Chinese goods.

  7. LOLOL That's a good one ! (Actually, the only time I've ever replaced skis was on a demonstrator sled that Snowtrax had used for a year.) Merry Christmas to you too, sir.

  8. Looks great, Basketcase. The early bird catches the worm. Here's B103 near Kinmount this afternoon. Showing the signs of wear, but still passable.

  9. I see on their ad on the D13 map that they have rooms available. I'm taking this is a new development? I don't have this down on the database.

  10. This is welcome news. I hope we sledders can make it worth their while, and that they are successful.

  11. Weight may be a bigger difference in a start/stop and lower speed route application, but if you are long haul and faster speed, aerodynamics will trump weight for sure. Those V nose trailers cut through the air so much better than the old skewl 4 place blunt nosed trailers! I towed a chums narrow/V-nose 3 place (prolly a 60* included angle) about 3500 miles out west many years ago and hardly knew it was back there. (behind a 1 ton dually Cummins) Planning to hook onto his newer one in another week or so and try it again. If my gooseneck is empty (6000#) or even loaded with steel bundles (say another 12K?) it doesn't make much difference once it's rolling, but you put a big flat thing up there to catch wind, and all you can hear is the pipe the whole trip and kan't pass a fuel pump!

  12. Sorry meant 101" wide by 11' long.

  13. Keep the government regulators OUT of the OFSC imo. This will only make things worse in ways we do not yet understand. Solving one issue by inviting more issues in is not effectively solving anything.

  14. I think he might have meant 11 long

  15. 11" wide trailer would be illegal. 8'6" is max legal allowed everywhere.

  16. Who knew that the teepee between Timmins & Foleyet on C101D was open for business?

  18. Zoso, if you have time send a quick email to lstackhouse@ofsc.on.ca explaining the issue. We are fixing app problems as we become aware of them.

  20. How can you justify this to those that ride in areas that do not even have ofsc trails. BTW, all examples of things we may pay for but not use such as the trent, pools etc. are government owned and run entities, not private like ofsc trails. Why not make everyone that buys a winter coat pay a tax so I can ski for free.

  21. On the advice of a fellow OC ‘er I took a 4 hr drive from Mississauga to Témiscaming yesterday. Picked up my new 850 on Thursday and had to ride it immediately. If you are looking for amazing early season riding and don’t mind the drive ( I went up and back same day ) I highly recommend . Day pass was $65 ( I believe HF is $55 , and over 3 hrs for me to get there ) and there were ample , groomed , with lots of snow , trails. I rode from Témiscaming ( you can park at Esso ) to Latulipe, there is gas and a restaurant there. It was a total of 280 k return. I passed a total of 7 sled the whole day, 2 which were police. Btw if you go , don’t forget to attach a rear view mirror on left side of sled. I was stopped on trail and given a full inspection, they were very nice , but let me know it was law to mirror ( at least one, left side ) on machine. They gave me a warning and sent me on my way. What a great way to start the season. LOVE the new ride!
