  1. We put 4x8 sign boards up about 4 years ago. They cost about $300 bucks, gotta bunch of local businesses to sponsor at $500 to have their names on top. Some were shared at $250 a piece A total of 10 went up, the extra cash went to the other intersection signs ( just regular blue destination) as we have around 24 intersections The signs are aluminum I think, last forever, and he can just reprint a new map if needed, it was a lot of work and all volunteer and not one dime from permit money

  2. We got home at midnight. A trail was great all the way to Latchford with only a handful of bare spots. My wife did excellent for her first 400km day and 1250kms for the 5 day trip. Val Gagne wasn't bad at all with the fresh snow they had overnight. Well it was bad for me but we won't talk about my low speed ice accident that happened on the paved road right after that. At least I'll get my new helmet and windshield now! Trailering home was tiring but arrived safe before this weekends bad weather.

  4. Thanks for the well wishes, he is doing great. His treatment protocol is over 3 years long, he has a year left. He has received nothing but the best care, and money has never factored into any of the medical decisions which I don't think is possible with private health care unless you have a very expensive plan. I guess my point is I have seen first hand how well our system can work, when all you seem to hear is the horror stories.

  9. worse than no km's on sign is wrong km on sign. i see plenty of those. one around my local trails is a good 20km longer to the town than listed. that could cause a fuel issue for those not local.

  10. just imagine parents that are not so lucky to have a plan to help off set the cost. Not dismissing your burden at all. I am just saying that if you are on welfare, you may be better off than working if you need expensive meds and do not have coverage. To me that is just wrong. Low income working folks should get government assistance with life saving childrens medicine. i would have zero issue seeing my taxes go to that type of plan. I however cringe when i see the government give 2.5 billion to the UN for climate change and then tell families we cannot afford to help cover meds. My family is lucky to be healthy right now, but anything could happen at any time and knowing you will not go broke due to a health concern would be taxes well spent.

  12. Having a daughter who needs insulin every time she eats in order to live, I agree, especially after April 1st when Doug Ford cuts Ohip plus so that the government no longer covers insulin, among many other things, because I have private health care coverage at work, which only covers 80% so we are left to cover the rest..our health care is swirling the bowl... make me pay whatever, I don't care but leave Healthcare for kids under 18 who can't fend for themselves the hell alone.

  14. Lol Kris but I think we are going to miss the races this year for the first time in a long time, you guys will laugh at this but we still haven’t taken our Christmas tree down yet as we’ve been sledding every day off since December so I guess it’s time. Have fun!
