We want to extent the trip by an extra day & are unsure if we should spend the extra day riding Pembrooke- Ottawa area or Mattawa North Bay area. If anyone could reply with riding experiences in either of these areas it would help us make our decision. Thanks for any input, it is appreciated. Krusty The trails thin out the farther east you go from Pembroke. The Maple Leaf Snow Skimmer trails were in nice shape on Saturday as we came from Pembroke down to the Paudash trail system. sledneck96 Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 The trails around Bonfield (North Bay/Mattawa area) are great. A buddy and I spent 3 days riding from a motel there last year (about $70 a night with restaurant on site). We rode to New Liskard and back one day, which was a good ride. We were through that area at the begining of Feb for the RAP tour and the trails up there were great. We also thought about doing the ride around Nipissing tour to add a day to the RAP tour.
