Heavy Boots?

I have been wearing the same boots for almost 20 years, now. Bought them when we lived in the arctic. Brand name is Acton, don't know the model, probably no longer made, but they are very similiar to their current Norway model https://en.actoncanada.ca/collections/hommes/products/norway

Worn them in minus 50 -60 C, feet are never cold and very comfortable.

Acton Chimo - the Acton company was bought out a couple of years ago by another outfit - the Chimos are still for sale, but made in China - previously in Quebec.

Go to this link and scroll down a ways:

Wide variety at Shoe King - they have a store in Hamilton on Barton - web address and product selection. Anything that pricey I would be wanting to inspect before purchase:

With the Chimos...you realize that you are committing a serious fashion faux pas....white footwear should never be worn after Labour Day.

Before switching to boots without removable liners I used Acton Prarie.  They were very popular with a lot of the ice fishing guys I knew. In wet slushy conditions all the time and warm feet.

Acton Explorer was also very good boot.  It was a little firmer rubber then the Prarie.

Best boots I've ever worn are the Baffin Altimate.... I'd get another pair any day.  I still wear them for cold sledding days and for outdoor stuff that requires a lot of standing around. Never once had cold feet except when I forgot to yank the liners out to dry.
