Looking for recommendations please :)

33rd wedding anniversary this Feb 14th so I want to plan a 4 day trip in Quebec with the following criteria.  Preferably a 4 day weekend but most of those are already booked so....

  • 5 Star accommodations - Hotel, chalet, etc (Think Auberge du Vieux Moulin or Hotel le Manoir)
  •  Must have trail access
  • No further than quebec city area.

Thank you!

Club Mekoos and la Bannik are about the only 2 closest spots south that I would consider 4/5 stars that we have stayed/eaten at in the past on sled .

I would agree that both of those are great places to stay.  In addition, very close to La Bannik is Domaine Temikami - another great spot.   Getting back over and getting closer to Mekoos, you can also enjoy Auberge Lac Taureau.

ENJOY !!!

And, if you do want to get over past QC, the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu is another wonderful spot with indoor sled parking.  :-)

Haven't stay at Auberge Vieux Moulin but everything have read always very positive for couples.

Have stayed at Village du Windigo, down the road from the Rabaska Lodge.

Newer cottage development, open wood burning fireplaces. Definitely wifey approved. Fancy cozy restaurant.

Only one hot tub for the resort. Great spot for day loops. Very quiet place, will have to entertain yourselves.

5 Star cabin in the woods experience vs fancy hotel in more urban setting.

Thank you, i'll check that out. Stayed at Rabaska 2 winters ago - good food but cottages were more in line for a boyz weekend.

Way to go! Happy 33rd anniversary. It's a lovely place - 'tho I only stayed there with some ruffians from this forum (Domino, 14Snow). Cabin to yourself, short walk to the main lodge for EXCELLENT food and hospitality.

Agreed.   Really nice rooms and the dinner that we had there was awesome.    Not inexpensive by any stretch though.

We stayed at L'Escale Suites last year in Valdor on the free weekend with 14Snow, and Evil and Hubby.   And we liked it. Great food,  atmosphere etc. Loved having our own personal heated garage for the sleds too!...Evil on video doing Karaoke in Valdor =Priceless...

Large heated garage up the hill in the back. Ask for it, we have always used it in the past.

Will do!  Nothing better than getting on a warm sled :)
