Was in Gaspe at the same time.  What a week....

Monday night was mess for us and a bunch of sledders.  Stuck with the trail closed going east to the town of gaspe. We ran the road the last 94 KM directly down the highway. Wasn’t as bad as we expected.   Just before town Ministry of Transportation pulled us over with a flashing light.   We expected to fine or something.  Asked what hotel we were staying at and escorted us right down the road into town.

No!

This was Patrick Bouchard.  He runs the RMR in Dub and is Pat Dubreuil's brother in law.  Great guy who set the pace while Paige followed and stopped when he made a wrong turn.  Never thought 12 sleds could move so well as a group, but we did.

That is amazing scenery. Where in Quebec was this? I installed a bunch of wind turbines near Murdochville in 2004/2005.

I am pretty sure Pat Dubreuil still owns the RMR, his brother-in-law Pat Bouchard is the day to day manager while also doing some guiding is my understanding.  Pat D is also involved in in a jr mining company in the Dubreuilville area.

The gold mine?

(jr?)

I haven't been that way lately, and I don;'t know where the mine is.

Is it near the old (?) OSSSI out by Localsh?

I know they were digging (underground I think) there a lot 20 yrs ago (as still exploration) and hauling it out to be processed elsewhere. (Marathon?)

After my trip to Wawa last week, things sound very promissing for the area once again.

Things are up and still a few new things in the works yet.

Some expected to fly, others ... maybe not so much.

It is not the operating mine in Dubreuilville that he is involved with to my knowledge.  It is an exploration company (Manitou Gold I believe it is called). I think they have property out in the west of the province (Dryden area maybe) as well as in the Localsh area near Dub.

There has been quite a bit of exploration activity in the Wawa area in recent years.  Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.
