Family day weekend now. Oh well

They closed them just to keep the base that's there. Sounds like all is good just some standing water.

We had so much snow on the weekend. Main issue would be the lakes and probably sheer ice now. I imagine 10-15 cms and we back in business.

I went for a quick rip out to freds place this afternoon. Trails are decent. Better than i was expecting. Scraping the odd rock.5-10cm of lake effect and it would be minty. Mary lake crossing is basically glare ice. If you're trailering up to the area tomorrow i'd go just a bit further north and start from dwight or emsdale.

At least a foot of lake effect. Going for a ride late tonight, hopefully the groomers are going out soon. Nice and cold for the trails to setup.

Today is the open house bbq and vintage sled show at the HGR groomer shop. Trails should be in great shape!

I had to grab regular this morning there, just put in 10 liters until I could fill up with 91 at the next station....then on the way home, pulled into the Esso with the truck just South if Ghurst, they only had regular as well!

AM trails were great, in the PM, the feeder trails were still great, all the main trails were well used.

Lots of snow for the groomers to work with and it is getting colder tonight, so should set up nice.....base was softer this morning, so did not take long to get beat!

Maybe we were the first two guys out on D? I was in Sprucedale by 930.

Stopped to take some photos between Bracebridge and Port Sydney:
