Weather radar

I assume most peeps on here use either TWN or EC.

I was playing around with the ontario 511 map and found that the 511 map gives a much better radar picture.

511 shows the whole province (plus south and westen usa) instead of have to switch radar stations when using EC.

I honestly don't use TWN so not sure what their radar looks like.

I use the weatherbug app on my phone. They have a desktop page that's quite good as well. I'll take a peek at the 511 version.

I like accuweather, and if you choose An American border city like Detroit you get the larger picture.

If you want more info (spotting potential tornadoes, etc) radar scope pro. Requires subscription though.

"My Radar" is pretty good. Also Intellicast.com is excellent and the future radar is great

Doesn't all the radar imaging come from EC ?. Everybody else is just an interpretation of there data.

I'd think so as the only radar stations you see are government ones, unless the are other versions that can be used, like sat.

I have used Intellicast long before EC put their radar imagery online.

I use accuknee. The joints are pretty good forecasters.

Bummer my long time fave Intellicast is now gone, and WU now runs it....Im trying to like the new "wundermap" but it just is not as user friendly as the intellicast, and its now allowing me to save my pref like the intellicast did using cookies...grrrr

Intellicast was my go to for not only radar, but for the 'snowcast' which was another fave...to forecast snowfall amounts for the next 48 hrs, now thats gone too.

I will say, for the weather geeks out there like me...checkout the TWC interactive map....and choose the 48hr snowfall map in settings, it will show the forecast track and snowfall amts(legend) for upcoming 48hrs.....so that is about the best ive found now.

Just checking the radar & it looks like the rain is staying south of Lake Erie & Ontario.
