Dirtbag
Hey guys.,, perhaps there is a link someone can share, but looking for advice on riding in Sudbury the weekend of march 11th if the trails hold up. Never rode there before... are there enough trails to keep us entertained for three days? best places to stay and park truck and trailer safely? gas and food on trails...plentiful or not? thanks for any insights...hoping to save this season
Micar
We did Sudbury last year. Stayed at the Chateau Guay on Hwy 17. Decent room, lots of parking and food on sight. Trail runs to the parking lot. Trails around Sudbury were rough with not much snow, we were there late February. Once you get out about 10-15km you're good to go. Nice combo of bush trails and old logging roads and rail beds. We did the two loops on the ITG, Cartier Moose and Chiniguchi Wolf. They are both well signed and a good days ride. There is food and fuel along the way but you have to venture off the main loop to get it. The Moonlight is beside the Chateau Guay and is another lodging option. Royal Distributing is close as well, in case you forget something....... Pray for snow and cold, because if Sudbury is getting the same crap weather as Muskoka you're probably hooped. SudsJeff
Sudbury is getting a major winter snow storm right now. Likely going to see 20-30 cm today.

soupkids
I'm not sure how the route out of the chateau or moonlight would be. A lot of the immediate area is zero watershed runoff area. It was pretty wet with the last warm weather we have had. To be sure of good riding I would trailer to the STP building and ride from there, it's only about 10 mins away. soupkids
I'm worried about 3 swamps between those motels and garson being very very wet. The STP building is 3 timmy's away worst case. Wolf loop one day. Cartier loop one day North Bay and back one day ??
