Just found out tonight that a guy I rode with on Saturday passed away Monday.

He was just 28.

I have rode with his dad many times before, his dad was with us Saturday.

Joey Delwo Obituary

Joey Delwo
Plant a Tree
Plant a Memorial Tree for Joey

Plant a tree in memory of Joey while providing benefits to our environment PLANT TREE

January 6, 1989 – February 27, 2017

In loving memory of Joey Delwo who passed away suddenly on Monday, February 27th, 2016 at the age of 28. Beloved husband of Kelly Van Embden. Cherished son of Dan and Diane Delwo. Loving brother of Katie Delwo and Justin Duguay. Dear grandson of Ken and Claudette Delwo and Leo and Jeannine Lafreniere. Loving Godfather to Elizabeth Roy. Will be terribly missed by his canine best friend Buck. Joey also leaves behind Kelly’s parents Gary and Ruth Van Embden, brothers and sisters -in –laws Joey Hembruff, Eddy Roy, Tanya Roy and Mindy Desabracks. Loved dearly by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joey was the happiest when he was outdoors. He loved to tease and bring laughter into everyone’s lives. His family and friends were his pride and joy and he was his dad’s best friend, his boy. Joey was lucky to make a life in his last years with his best friend and soul mate Kelly. For those who had Joey in their lives, they were blessed with such a wonderful, caring and gentle soul who always had that laughing smile to share.
A celebration of Life will be held at the Skead Community Centre, 3971 Skead Rd, Skead on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 from 12-5pm with words of remembrance at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Sudbury Minor Hockey would be greatly appreciated.
(Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home)
