beast
Hi All, I recently purchased a cottage on Drag Lake in Haliburton and would like to get back into sledding. When I was younger, I learned to drive on a 1972 SkiDoo Olympic. I am interested in purchasing a vintage machine with carburettor(s) not FI. Are there any makes/models of sleds that I should steer away from where parts are difficult to obtain? I am very handy mechanically and enjoy restoring vintage outboard motors Thanks in advance
snowowl
Hi Beast, There is a goldmine of information about vintage sleds at this site: www.vintagesleds.com Another resource is the Antique and Classic Snowmobile club of Canada: www.acscc.com I hope these help. spudjt
I have an old sled. One really doesn't need anything faster- with the limited weeks of open trails and the speed limits. Glad to see others enjoying vintage! Besides the older machines do not rip up the trails as much. Just wait for me at the end of the trail I have a 1994 skidoo. Love it.
