Unlike sledding, where I seem to ride in questionable early and late season conditions, with the atv I guess I was more fussy. I opted for good dry trails and gravel roads. The mud and swamps can be left for others to enjoy. PS: I trailered to the Seguin Trail, Kearney area, and Haliburton for much of my riding. My experience much the same. I learned quickly where not to go with heavy loaded down atv with power steering. Local knowledge is everything. This summer I am coming up for a ride. We can go and pick on wildbill :). The bugs don't get you because you're going so fast they can't keep up with you. just kidding. So that brings me to a little brain teaser. How fast can a deer fly, fly? We are out in the boat doing oh 15 kph.. A deer fly finds us and we pick up the speed to say 50 kph. One would expect to leave the deer fly far behind. Although the deer fly isn't sitting on part of the boat or us, how does the deer fly stay around in the air at 50 kph? Is it in fact flying at 50 kph? Sledguy74
I too don't see the attraction to be covered in mud. I prefer dry trails or gravel roads.

Viperules700
if you know where to go and avoid the normal wet area's and seasons, you don't encounter area's like above. No fun spending half a day getting three atv's thru a big mud hole, if you ask me.

I didn't mean to say ride from Conestoga lake to Owen sound.....guess it came across confusing. Either trailer to the lake and go for a ride around it or trailer to Primrose and ride to owen sound and back.
Sledguy74
Trailered to Super burger and it was packed. So we drove to Shelbourne and parked there. Rode the B110 all the way to Owen Sound Boston Pizza for lunch. Had to be 25 sleds there and more when we left. Met 3 groomers between Mark dale and Owen Sound. Lots out having a good time. 110 miles and home for a nice dinner.

Sledguy74
Rode to Boston pizza again in Owen sound Trails were groomed right from super burger up. You could feel the temperature drop and see the snow levels increase just north of Markdale. Snowing most of the way up. Time for lunch
