Bridge to the trail that runs under the 401 at the Camden East exit near Kingston. Not many place yout can cross the 401 on an approved OFSC trail.

Group of sleds at Uncle's in Hornepayne on our first days' ride of the Invasion.  Also where good friend SJ had an oops and injured himself ... mildly, but still .... there's always danger among all the pleasures we enjoy.  Grateful for the moments I got to spend with you all, and honoured that you chose to come to Hearst to ride with us.  Great people you all are.

.... same weekend we met, I was up riding SRF Cochrane area having left Moonbeam clubhouse in the morning.  Had a chance to meet you at the road crossing near Smoothies.  Should have done the Canyon with you guys, but I didn't feel like waiting for "stragglers" .... lol !!!

You would have been able to keep up no problem.

We might have had newer machines but they were all 600s

I cruise 90-110k when riding solo, most often 90-100.  Great fuel mileage and it's at least an "interesting" ride at that pace.  I'll kick it up or down depending on terrain and visibility, but face it, my bologne-slicer is no rocketship ....

Where are the trees?

:-P

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I'll bet the tobaggan ride was fast. Photos don't reproduce the slope of a hill well.  What the photos do show is folks having a blast outdoors in winter. Thanks again.

PS - What were the #'s on the jackets for?

Trees are 1500kms to the south!

There is an annual race from Iqaluit to an outlying community of Kimmirut and back. Approx 240 KMs.

Big bucks ($7000) to the winner!

The toboggan (kamitiq) runs GPS'd at over 40MPH

By the way most of the outdoor shots were taken April to June!

so it's true that summer up there is two weeks long... last week of July first week of August

I recall being at the Sportsmen Show a few years ago. There was a gentleman outside in a t-shirt having a puff break while the others were all bundled up in their winter coats with hoods up since it was also a bit windy. Somebody asked if he wasn't cold. He said this is a great spring day. Later I saw him inside promoting tourism for Nunavut.

Can we volunteer STG for that race? One way ...return... doesn't matter.

Great info Bigfish. Must've been quite the experience.
