This is probably a good plan - Kelly St. seemed to have large lots behind the businesses on the parallel main street last time I was through. You join the trail right there. If the other trail to Wilno and beyond opens up, the arena has a large parking lot as well. You could also try sending an email to Pinewood Inn or Ashgrove Inn motels to see if they would allow parking. Each has a large lot. Pinewood is right next to gas.
