14 snow
I can see on the ITG that A107Q and A110Q are still marked as closed. I realize that both of these trails cross water to get into Quebec but I was wondering if anyone local can comment on the ice conditions and if people are running the crossings using their own risk. Thanks in advance.
14 snow
In case anyone is wondering, even if A110Q opens across Larder Lake, it is closed on the Quebec side. Here is the response from the local club. "For the trail coming in from Kirkland Lake it will not be open on the Quebec side this year."
14 snow
Here is information from Chminis Lodge regarding Larder Lake. "Sorry it is not safe. It was tested at the narrows and ice depth went from 7 inches to 2 inches in spots."
Canuck
Thanks. This type of info. is filed away for those hotel map views that lead to "why dont we just ...". It's getting tougher to cross the border on sleds. Might as well pencil in "call ahead" on the right side of Provincial map.
