trails north of Kearny

Planning a trip in two weeks to North Bay from Parry Sound.  Question:  Leaving Kearney, heading north - what are the nicer trails (scenic, condition)?   TOP D trail, or AL302, AL303, D123?  Staying on D is about 15 miles longer than the other route to where it joins D.  Having never run these trails, we're looking for advice.

Personally I vote for D123 as the most interesting of these routes, but only when it's in great shape. When it's beat up I don't think much of it. 300's seem to be more consistently in good condition - seem to be on summer maintained roads.

Run D trail or 302-303 out of Kearney through Sand Lake or take D from Kearney. Stay away from D123 until we get more snow as it is still really Rough. D great and scenic all the way North lot nicer ride right for now.

Have a great trip

Thanks for the input - I'll check specifics again just before the trip on Feb 13 or 14.

Thanks, Trail Groomer, and great to see your first post. Nothing beats first hand local information.

PS: We know you're not Mark, as he's a proud Polaris advocate these days. LOL

Still avoiding the huge hill and that section with the groomer as you head north towards

sundridge! That is one massive hill and valley!

We rode Mattawa to parry sound on Monday staying on A/D they are in great condition and scenic.  Avoid D123 right now as its rough.

Parts of the Sequin trail are rough around parry sound, but its not too big of section.   When you hit rail line it will be better.
