Greggie
Hi, The OFSC did an extra April 15 payment to the Districts. Now they have paid out 85% of the new revised forecast funding. They will come out this week with the permit reconsolidation and the permits and the cheque need to be at the Barrie office at April 30. So far are sold 64023 full season permits, 17499 classics and 2741 3-7 day permits. Thanks, Greg
bbakernbay
I think the extra payment will be welcomed by all Clubs although it won't be too large. Our club ran about 1/3 more grooming hours this season and we have a list of repairs including $15,000 in new tracks and cleats for our 2000 BR. I would certainly think some smaller permit selling clubs will be in tough shape financially after a long grooming season. Our fuel bill, paid 100% by the District, ran about $24 per operating hour, how does that compare to your costs? Thanks for keeping everyone up to date on what is going on. Wildbill
Brian that is fairly average for fuel use
Big Pete
This not really an extra payment. It's an advance on the final payment due in July. The OFSC is paying out 10% of the final 25% payment. It's welcome but will be very large at the club level. Also final permit reconciliations are due at the OFSC by April 30. So we should see final permit sales by mid May
