Great News for Crosshill Bush trail

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. We have some great news about the Crosshill bush trail on 5-72. The landowner has generously offered to temporarily help maintain the grooming of the bush trail. Up until now we have not been able to get a groomer through this section of trail. The trail is now alot better and much safer due to the work our valuable landowner has done. A huge Thank You ! Please take it easy when using this trail. Maintain a slow speed to avoid chewing up the trail.

That is great news!!!!!!!!!!!!    The trails have been in awsome but our youngest daughter is driving her own this year and after going through there a few times she has asked to avoid it, but it is the quickest way to the club house.  She will be thrilled !!!!!!!!!!!    Thanks again for everything the clubs have done this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We sure appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This bush will no longer be a problem.

We have rerouted thanks to our volunteers and a few cooperative landowners.

Coming from the Lobsinger side, when you come to Ayrshire Lane, instead of turning right and going up the gravel lane and turning left back into the bush, now you will cross the lane. This is where I took the pic.

This reroute takes you through that section of bush for a couple hundred feet then out in to a field. Next to that field is a gravel pit. It is important that everyone stays on the trail and out of that pit or permission will be revoked.

That is one of the reasons we lost Main trail running into Petersburg. Everyone went off trail and played in the pit! Need to put up a sign saying caution 100 foot deep quick sand Pitt!

paintball landmines are a tempting thought

Problem is once you get one track thru a pit, it tempts other riders. We had signs, gates, etc at Petersburg pit. Still people went off and played. Just take a few riders and Pitt workers report it back to office, it won't be good.

The volunteers that have worked very hard for a number of years to find this cure for the problem in the Crosshill bush could use some thanks for there efforts rather than negative comments from someone who professes to be with the St. Clements club.

I don't see any negativity?  Just comments about past experience

Thanks for the hard work too. The bush trail was fun, but a bummer to ride after a busy weekend. Well be nice to have the whole link groomed now too and well be abit safer too.

Are they rerouting it this year?  I know there was some issues at wing night last year at the dairy farm by the arena.

The re routed trail goes around the old bush trail near Crosshill. It is going to be a very fun ride with alot of hills. Take it easy and watch for oncoming sleds. Please respect our new land owners and STAY ON THE TRAIL or we will lose permission for this re route.

i haven't heard anything as of late. At our last meeting we had no options. We can still get to the arena for wing nights from the south side (brunner) but not from the north side anymore. :(.

I was just talking to Perry tonight.  They hope to come around by the new township shed on Line 61, and cut through the gun club property to get back to hwy 19.  The gun club was supposed to be meeting tonight to give permission for that to happen.  Hopefully that happens.  It would suck if the Milverton Snowmobile club cant access Milverton anymore.
