Mary lake opened up at the south end today. Still covered in the middle towards crown island. If the wind was stronger today it likely would have finished it. Hopefully the wind stays light and doesnt start pushing ice sheets into docks/boathouses. Clearwater lk still has a good covering but getting darker.
  2. I think it depends on the sled. I personally wouldnt own an 850 without warranty. So its a tough resale. 600's i would buy/own without warranty, same with a 4 stroke. My 17 cat was a discounted left over with 1 year warranty and my 20 skidoo was a left over msrp with 2 years warranty. No trouble reselling them without warranty. Right now i'd be lucky to get $9k for my 23. Yikes. Market reactions will depend on if there's snow on the ground come next season too. Im waiting it out till the fall to make a move on a leftover 24.
  3. Blue book value on used sleds dropped huge in last 4 months. The numbers on clean 24' trades is crazy!

Im at 2350kms with 300 or so opening trails around here. 5 days total riding trails in quebec. Almost 9000km on the 600r now.
  5. I havent used my ofsc pass once this year. Im ok with that. What i've noticed quebec has going for it is the majority of trails themselves are used year around and thus are maintained year round. Lots and lots of forest access roads that are easy to groom and open early. They groom in the winter like a municipal roads department clears snow. Perhaps the OFSC, tourism Ontario, MTO and the MNR could look into what we already have in place and not used currently by the natural resource sector. We've got the goods, we're just not using it and realizing the recreation tourism $$ potential. My 2 cents.
  6. I seen they're offering 3 years warranty now on spring order 25' Doo's and lynx's.
  7. Amos back to temis today. Only one pic from lunch at rapid 7. The 309 and north of there was excellent. Still good enough on the rail line in temis. Getting tough in between but some really good mixed in there too. Anyone ever tried/found/know of good parking around la force to saddle bag from?

    Yep that was us
  9. It was decent leaving temis, ville marie to la tulipe was thin but rideable, la tulip was sweet half way to la force was icey on lower route 63 and up. La force up 309 was minty to the shelter the whole length. Stopped for lunch at rapid 7. Malartic to amos on 83, 307, 93 was choppy but met the groomer just south of town. 400 clicks. Excellent day🫠
  10. Thank you. Thats not what i was hoping to hear but expected. Leaving from Temiscaming in the morning, Amos bound. Did you have scratchers down?
  11. I dont like the price but wow i love the colour scheme! Sweet looking ride!
  12. So im assuming temiscaming, ville marie took a beating today with that warmth and sun? Amos should be ok its just getting there.
  13. We use these for carrying oil. Never a drop spilt. 2 fit inside a freezer bag. Holds a litre i think.
  14. Im sold on the 31ltr combo bag. It doesnt get in the way at all, keeps weight off the back and I could easily hold a gallon of oil and clothes for a week in it.
  15. ^^^looks good! They had groomed around town in amos on monday but south to malartic had some big chop in the corners. No not really i guess. And the turbo likely needs that extra length to get the power to the ground. Remember the track spinning 121 1200's lol. There's a 24 900t in the garage here, so when we go to Quebec beginning of march together we'll likely take both her 850 and 900t then i can get a few days seat time on it. My 600 needs the front shocks rebuilt or the springs are punched. I dont know. Steering is super hard on the forward weight transfer in the corners.
  16. Good question. I've seen regular doo bumpers bent to crap towing or yanking stuff they shouldnt be.
  17. I find i burn the most fuel running the fast trails with bigger sleds up north. Less oil than the 850 but the 600 is strung right out in the power band more which i like on the muskoka trails. I'd consider a 900t for my next sled. Just wish it was 129.

Pisten Bully's out on the east side with the packer bar on
  19. The 900t's are better on fuel. On the way up one of them started coughing when mine did 10kms out. On the way back we all used more fuel and it was tight for running out. Those trails are perfect for the turbo's. I just let em eat lol and stay back out of the snow dust.
  20. We ran Amos to Matagami and back yesterday. I was about 10km out from gas when the sled started coughing. Dumped in some of the linqs gas. Took 35litrs to fill in matagami. Minty the whole way up! No restaurant open on sundays in matagami. Food stuff at gas station we heated up later at warm up shack. Came back down same way. Dumped all gas in at lower warm up shelter. Still took 35 litres in amos. Fast running and chewing fuel with 2 900T's. All trails in great shape. Dinner at st.huberts. The river crossing is fine in amos but still shows closed. Heading back to Temis today and will update tonight. One of the riders on the abitibi map cover sure looks very familiar lol!
  21. Golden leaving Temis. Rapid 7 (309)was great the whole way up. Little short stretch of crap after ville marie but still ok. 413km's
  22. Thanks 1049. We're leaving from temis in the morning as of now. We'll see what the groomers do tonight. Amos bound. Will update tomorrow in amos. 2 900t's and my Yellow 600r.
