  1. A Stop Ride / Stop Sale notice has been issued by Polaris for select late model snowmobiles, including MATRYX and AXYS sleds. Polaris has determined that with degraded fuel and especially after extended storage, Model Year 2021-2023 MATRYX, 2015-2022 AXYS, and select Model Year 2013-2014 Trail Performance (Pro-Ride) snowmobiles may pose a risk of fire due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) inside the fuel tank. Under specific conditions, vapours may be ignited inside the fuel tank, posing a potential injury hazard to consumers. Number of affected vehicles: Around 230,000 units globally Number of incidents: Polaris has identified 30 reports of fuel tank ruptures, including 16 incidents of fire and one report of injury. Consumers should immediately stop using the impacted units. Polaris is currently evaluating a comprehensive action plan to correct this concern at no cost to consumers and will contact affected consumers once determined. DO NOT attempt any repairs yourself. If a rider needs to start their snowmobile, they must make sure the fuel tank is full and, if it is not, then they need to add fresh gasoline to fill the tank. Polaris is notifying dealers and contacting registered owners directly. Polaris has reported this matter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. To search off-road recalls by model or vehicle identification number (VIN) to see if your unit is affected by any recalls, visit the Off-Road Safety Recalls page or call Polaris at 800-765-2747. 2. You can load test it. You can also use a clamp on DC ammeter to see what the starter draw is. I wish my cat starter would work in any temperature but mine isn’t an electrical issue, it’s mechanical. Electrical connection(s) would be something else to check, I use dielectric grease on the cleaned connectors, It helps. A decent multimeter will let you check resistance and continuity too but make sure it does DC, specially the clamp on ammeter part. That’s a decent meter that will last me forever but you can buy them for less or borrow one!
  3. They pulled a sled or two out of the Tomahawk channel this week. So be careful where there is a flow.
  4. Yes steel frame with very low kms and aluminum body. You would need 7x16 for 3 sleds. Most 14 footers only fit 2 sleds. Nunz is selling a TC716 and that is all aluminum and could fit 3 sleds if you are looking for all aluminum. Great trailer just like mine, single axle and no electric brakes. This one has 550 km on it and it’s $4500 less than new with a few extras like a spare tire. I think a V nose may pull better than a TC716 too.
  5. Only 550 kms. Over 15K new. Price drop $11,500.
  6. It’s 7x16 fits 3 sleds and it’s OBO.
  7. 16' MISKA Cargo Trailer (plus an extra 32" V-nose). Trailer has only 550 kms of travel on it, and was used strictly for storage). Dual axle, with electric trailer brakes, LED lighting, full ramp style rear entrance, side door, interior mount spare tire, wall rack tie downs, plastic ceiling vent (requires new plastic cap). Will also include 3 puck locks with keys, trailer ball security lock, and wheel anti-theft lock. Has a few scratches from being on blocks as was used in driveway as a garage and storage area. This will carry 3 snowmachines if 3rd machine is backed in. Located in Azilda. * In good condition, price is $12,500 FIRM Pm for details, posting for a friend.
  8. I know you are looking for a Triton and I don’t blame you. My 716 is great. My buddy has two available in two weeks if anyone is interested. A 2016 7x16 Miska with only about 450 kms and a 2020 7x14 Discovery all aluminum with 75 kms. He bought them for storage so they are like new. Located in Azilda. Pm me and I can give you his contact info if you are interested. I believe he wants 10k and 13k
  9. I have a Pioneer 500 and have had it for a couple years now. It works well and is only 50 inches wide. I found it a little tippy so added 2 inch wheel spacers so now it’s 54 wide but much more stable. It’s built like a tank and isn’t fast but it will go almost anywhere my King Quad 750 would go. I plow snow with it and also use it for moving aggregate dirt rocks etc with a dump trailer and it has a surprising amount of low end power and it’s not belt drive.
  10. Unfortunately there are people who like to ride open water or water and ice in the area. YouTube April Fools if you want to see what I mean. These people ride open water all the time and it’s all good until the belt gets wet or breaks. It’s probably an absolute riot sledding where you boat but all it takes is one miscalculation, that water is cold. Ride safe, you will live longer! I feel sorry for the family left behind.
  11. Is it the tandem axle with the side door (bottom pic)? Thanks,
  12. The whole industry should use a wireless key fob tether. Skidoo does it best so far with a wired anti theft tether imho.

  14. I have a working link for the NBSC but it looks like just the north trails and It’s not complete. It’s great for planning a route, I would rather the groomer went by the day before. It just helps me decide to go left or right from my start point.
  15. Does anyone have the new SPOT link for Sudbury Trail Plan?
  16. Paul, By cahonas, I was referring to.....courage. Any organization like the OFSC, and I am not blaming them by the way, needs to communicate to it’s members if there are problems in delivering services or product. What I am asking for is communication and have done so appropriately via their email. Many organizations will post a regional report explaining the facts. I have attended a recent local club meeting and It wasn’t discussed but that was before the rumours started flying. This season the weather hasn’t been cooperative. Many members will have to trailer to be able to sled this winter. If it’s a sensitive situation, more reason to stop the rumours by carefully utilizing the facts. Closed trails without explanation will result in a reduction of trail passes next year. Just sayin.
  17. WTF. Why the secrecy? Does anyone know why the OFSC doesn’t comment on an issue that threatens the trail system we all pay to ride on? If the “leadership” refuses to inform the members, someone should have the cahonas to talk about it!
  18. I called Windy Lake Motel and a nice young lady tells me the closed section of C111D has a bypass in the works. Should open up next week some time. That will be enough of a loop for me. Nice people, good food! Let it snow.
  19. Appreciate it if someone posts the new Spot link for STP once things open up!
  20. Try FB Ontario used sleds. The odd one comes up every week. What about a Yamaha Bravo? Arctic Cats 2021 sled sounds like a step back to a smaller lighter single cyl sled but it will be 10K. Good luck.
  21. Horseshoe Valley resort north of Barrie is another option. If you plan on a week night you can get a preferred membership for $125 that gets you a free hotel night and discounted meals and ski/golf/Snow tube for a year. They have a spa, pool and restaurants. There are a few good restaurants close by too. The trails loop around the resort (recommend Midland-Coldwater-Orillia and back) and you can sled as long and as far as she can ride. There will be air bnb places close there too. Cheers,
