We ran Amos to Matagami and back yesterday. I was about 10km out from gas when the sled started coughing. Dumped in some of the linqs gas. Took 35litrs to fill in matagami. Minty the whole way up! No restaurant open on sundays in matagami. Food stuff at gas station we heated up later at warm up shack. Came back down same way. Dumped all gas in at lower warm up shelter. Still took 35 litres in amos. Fast running and chewing fuel with 2 900T's. All trails in great shape. Dinner at st.huberts. The river crossing is fine in amos but still shows closed. Heading back to Temis today and will update tonight. One of the riders on the abitibi map cover sure looks very familiar lol!

You might have to go farther into Quebec to start. My friend lives in

Temiscaming. ice base on trails but roads are shot.  Maybe weather will turn around 😎.

If we go might have to drive to Val for and start from there . There are no rooms available at the temrose for the date we wanted to start so we are just waiting and see what develops with this weather.

What part of Quebec are you riding in this year ZRT?

Well we where going to start in Temiscaming

    To Val+for

    To pouir De lacs 100

    To st raymond

    To Roberval

    To Chibouqamau

    To Val -dor

    Back to Temiscaming

Was going on the 18th but cancelled trip postponed it another week and will see what happens.

Not too promising this year might still have a brand new sled next year with no miles on it.

Any idea how things are going in Quebec? Next week looks a little grim?

Hopefully the following week has some snow in the forecast.

We have 2 brand new 600 Catalyst Riots hoping to put our first miles on them starting February 19th if everything goes well Should have put on 2000 miles on them at end of trip will give you my opinion of the new chassis .

Hopefully the weather cooperates with us in Quebec.

From what I've been reading on Quebec Rider the further north (towards 83) you go the better but reservations are very hard to get.

That's why we put our reservation in early get all our rooms booked figures it might get busy towards the end of the month.

Hopefully they get more snow before our launch date of the 19th of February.

I talked to an unnamed Arctic Cat dealer today and he is pissed.    He was given 12 units for MY24.    Thats it.    He said he is ready to throw in the towel with Cat as he cant get enough units to justify the fixed costs of being a dealer.

They are starving their dealers that's why there has been a lot of dealers in my area are no longer with Arctic cat.closest dealer to me is over a hour away.

  8. I ordered my new sled for next year didn't think it was going to happen the website went down at 9:00 am could not get through.

It was back and running and we got 2 new sleds ordered.

I am getting too old to be handling those heavy Turbos so should be happy and also went with a 146" track .

To bad you can't deal with your dealer but you could always try contacting another dealer who may have what you want coming.

He told me to try to Order online from Arctic cat on Tuesday and if I get in to order I can pick him to deliver the new Arctic cat.

Will see what happens but pretty sure the website will be over whelmed with people trying to order.

  10. Well I built my new Arctic cat online and they send it too the dealer for a quote,he replies with a quote.

Pre-order does not start till March 7th my dealer calls me this morning tells me Arctic cat allocated him so many sleds and the one I ordered is not available.

Snowmobile ordering has surely changed since my last new one in 2017.

Greg, they havent closed the border yet. so, if things stay the same, and you and the crew are vaxed, get a negative test before you cross, come over enjoy your trip. once you cross over to Canada, the USA cannot deny you access to your home country. you will be allowed to come home. now, as far as how you will travel, eat, and stay in Canada, will be up to that entity.

We lost all our snow in Dub in the last 36 hours, cold again but, no real snow in the forecast. I am not in a hurry now, to get up there but, I am missing not spending another Christmas at our home there. usually we are there for 2-3 weeks at Christmas, and New Year. if it isnt covid, the border, or something at home keeping us here, it is the weather. it is, what it is. Ski

Ski we are all vaccinated and boosted and will see how things are in February ,do not want to make the trip if we can not go into restaurant, etc.

And be limited to go places that we want to , so if we don't make it this winter hopefully next winter will be better.

it's a bummer that you cannot make it to your house in dub for Christmas 🎄 always enjoyed your fishing pics ,antler sheds , hopefully you get to spend some quality time up there.

    Merry Christmas

    Greg

Greg. Just go online before your trip,  sign up and pay for a 7 day permit. You can print out the copies, and get a copy emailed to you, that you can show on your phone, and you can also carry your printed version as proof. It's easy. We did ours just a few days before we left.

Okay sounds good Jeff thanks again hoping we get to ride this winter .

Definitely great news.  Although we will personally start in Temiscaming,  if we venture that way anyways.  Tough to beat the Tem Rose.

Congrats to the Clubs and volunteers.

Jeff we are hoping to be able to come ride in Quebec this year  we did not buy the yearly pass this year waiting to see how things are this winter . I figured we will buy a 7 day pass if we are able to ride up there this year. I remember the one year we came into Quebec from Ontario and Lisa from the club came to the temrose and we got our 7 day pass. Zrtkat and the crew are all ready to go we had our sleds serviced at the end of last year.

The OC members are missing you guys, zrtkat, skidoo boy, and all our neighbours to the south. We look forward to seeing you guys next season.

Thanks Re:Leaf I  still enjoy reading the post and seeing the pictures of the trails and the stories that go along with them until next winter may things be different and we can enjoy snowmobiling in Ontario again.
