  1. Thanks for the replies and input everyone! Heading up there tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 6am! Will report back next week on the conditions and our adventures!
  2. What and where is rockies? Any lunch stop recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. Heading to Elk Lake for March 4, 5, 6, 7. We are staying at the Elk Lake Wilderness Resort / Lodge as I have heard good things about this place. Looking for some info on day trips, must see spots, must ride trails, etc. We are comfortable riding big km. 300+km is fine... especially up there. Can some of you provide input and your past experiences? Anybody else going to be here during that time?
  4. Soooo true... I ordered parts before Christmas and they still haven't come in!
  5. Agreed. These are great places to stage...however, why trailer so far? Thunderbridge Rd in Lindsay is 30 minutes closer and Tabletop smooth. We staged there today. A little thin in some spots but mostly good.
  6. Just a heads up... The snowmobile bridge that crosses the gull river in Minden collapsed this afternoon. It was fine this morning but was collapsed and barracaded on our return trip this evening. The reroute is a nasty scrape through the downtown.
  7. Passible today however the further south towards Lindsay the thinner things got. We definitely need some fresh snow!
  8. Even though we passed 3 groomers on Sunday it really didn't help much. The clubs are definitely putting in a lot of time and effort but just can't keep up with the traffic and lack of snow to work with.
  9. We rode Orillia to Wasaga beach, then over to Singhampton for lunch on Sunday. We took the B112 to the B both ways as we ran out of time toop up to midland and back. Leaving Orillia we rode freshly groomed for 30km of rail line, then the punishment began. It was very VERY rough. Almost unbearable. Totally whooped out and not a smooth line in sight. 303km round trip. Never again on a weekend.
  10. Yes, the Groomer has been removed from the Top B as of Sunday when we rode down from Whitney.
  11. Yes you can. I was there this week. Tim Hortons/Petro Canada. Trails runs right to the parking lot as per previous years. Good to go.
  12. Anyone have any information on the Tobermory, Lion's Head, Wiarton area? I see the trails all the way to Owen Sound and surrounding areas are posted as Limited, just wondering if anyone has any info on north of there opening for the weekend? We were planning a big ride from Orangeville to Tobermory leaving tomorrow morning but it's not looking promising at the moment. Just wondering if anything is going to change or get updated? Anyone have any info or a contact for one of these clubs?
  13. I'm with Snowman on this one. I bought a brand new 2015 Stealth trailer and will never buy one again. All of the LED lights have now been replaced, frame is rotting out, aluminum side panels have corroded right through, etc. Absolute POS. I bought it all on looks and custom ordered it from the factory. Wish I never sold my Car Mate.
  14. Just moved to Lake Scugog this summer. This is my first time watching the lake freeze. I cannot believe how quickly the ice came in! The ice machine was working OVERTIME!!! LOL Picture #1: Tuesday Morning (Nov 12). Just slush washing up on shore. Picture #2: Taken today Thursday Morning (Nov 14). Lake is frozen right across (and I live near the widest section of the lake!) Picture #3: Bonus pic of my first rip of the season! Felt so good to get out! Never been sledding in November!! LOL
