  1. What if he has to get out and cut a branch or limb with the saw, and cuts himself doing so ? He has to be able to fix himself up, as there's likely nobody with him. Removing brush from the brushing bar or deck of the drag, cut himself or fall, twist or break an ankle, wrist, anything. Gotta know how to do a proper splint to prevent the injury from getting worse. What if he comes across a sledder who's had an oops ? He could administer first aid to the rider so as they could get out to safety. Anyone who ventures way the hell out into the boonies, would do well to know basic first aid. Period.

  2. I do not see this as a bad thing, hopefully the can do the whimis online course and maybe even do the one day first aid course(which will benefit the operator outside of the groomer job as well). I see it as a positive and sensible decisions by the ofsc.

  3. Last year my brother and I went to St Zenon and stayed at Le Cabanon. Before Christmas. Always the first open. Hoping we can do the same this year

  4. I'm thinking he's referring to the lineup of individual signs just getting into town at either end of the A trail. It is very impressive to see. They had some similar signs here but are all but gone now.

  5. Gotta say those Kap signboards are among the most impressive I've seen in Ontario. Anyone have a pic they could post? It's something our local Business Community should see. Thanks.

  6. All good things to have as a groomer operator. Miles from nowhere, one must be prepared for situations requiring medical attention, and be trained to operate the equipment at hand.

  9. Yes, January 31, 2013. My dad bought us a brand new 1973 Polaris TC 175 Colt when I was 13. What a great little machine. I found and bought a 1972 model a couple of years ago. Gotta say I flatten out the suspension when I ride it.

  10. I take it that you retired in '13? I'm wonderin' if that Colt 175 in your sig is the same as the TC175 in mine? (Town and Country) Shirley you didn't ride that?
