  1. Snow at home was encouraging. Seguin provided good riding, with 10 cms of new snow on top of the hard base. D is real nice in Du Ya Wanna land. Sprucedale Hotel ticking along. (Trails in this area will reportedly be made unavailable tomorrow.)

  6. Thanks for the well wishes, he is doing great. His treatment protocol is over 3 years long, he has a year left. He has received nothing but the best care, and money has never factored into any of the medical decisions which I don't think is possible with private health care unless you have a very expensive plan. I guess my point is I have seen first hand how well our system can work, when all you seem to hear is the horror stories.

  11. This is another reason to fill out the ICE (in case of emergency) information on your phone. People can access the ICE contacts on a locked phone. My buddy on the OPP has used this feature a few times at accident sites to contact people when the person is unable to communicate.

  12. We have never stayed in a renovated room however the rooms we have stayed in were all very clean and well kept. The owners have always been great to get along with and willing to accommodate changes on short notice. The location in relation to other businesses we use like dealership / Timmies / fuel / fast food is great. Parking the sleds right outside the door is a bonus as well as having the inside hall for visiting. Full service restaurants require a short walk or a taxi but neither is an issue for our group of 4 old guys. Your concern about the deposit on the corkscrew reminds me of what the owner of a 900 site trailer park /campground at Sauble Beach said when a customer was telling him that his rules sucked, "We've been running this place for 46 years and during that time we've figured out what works and what doesn't for us. The end result is that if you don't like our way of doing business you are welcome to go elsewhere."
